This page allows you to  view the details of the selected model configuration. Tell me more

The “View Model Configuration” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields must be entered. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Model Details” group box:

Aircraft Model #

The aircraft model for which the configuration details are displayed.

Aircraft Make

The manufacturer of the aircraft.

Zoom facility available.

The system displays the following fields in the “Configuration Class Details” group box:

Configuration Class

The configuration class to which the aircraft model is associated.

Config. Status

The status of the model configuration class, which could be one of the following:

  • Fresh – When the model configuration is created or modified.

  • Active – When the model configuration has been approved using the “Approve Model & Aircraft Configuration” activity.

  • Revised – Indicates that the model configuration details have been baselined for the revision number. If the model configuration has been baselined earlier, then the previous version will have the “Revised” status.

Revision #

The revision number of the model configuration.

Position Code

The position code for which the details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 25). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the position codes, which are similar to the values entered here.

Part #

The part number for which the position code details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the position codes to which this part is associated.

NHA

The parent part number of the position code and the associated part, which is otherwise called the next higher assembly (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the position codes belonging to the NHA, as defined in the part configuration hierarchy. For more details on defining part configuration hierarchy, refer the topic “Updating part configuration information – An overview”.

ATA #

The ATA chapter for which the position code details are to be viewed (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the position codes that are associated to the ATA chapter.

Display Level

Use the drop-down list box to select the level code of the part number and position code combination, for which the configuration details are to be retrieved. The system lists all the levels of the model configuration in the drop-down list box. All the position codes defined at the level selected in this field are retrieved in the multiline, along with the child position codes.

Note: If all the fields are left blank in the “Display Filter” group box, the system displays all the child level configurations of the selected model configuration.

The system displays the following fields in the “Configuration Details” multiline:

Level Code

The level number of the part number and the position code in the model configuration hierarchy.

Position Code

The position code associated to the model configuration.

Position Code Status

The status of the position code, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

Part #

The part number that can be fitted in the position code.

Position Type

The type of the component to be placed in the position code, which could be “Engine ”, “APU”, “Landing Gear” or “Others”.

Component Mandatory

Indicates whether the fixing of component is mandatory or not in the position code. The system displays either “Yes” or “No”.

Deferral Type

 The type of component deferral.

Cargo

The system displays “Yes”, if the part number can be used in the cargo aircraft. The system displays “No” otherwise.

RVSM

The system displays “Yes”, if the part number can be used in the aircraft that can fly in the reduced vertical separation minimum limit. The system displays “No” otherwise.

Zone #

The zone associated to the position code.

If the zone is not defined for a particular position code, then, the zone of the NHA of that position code is retrieved by the system.

Position Formula #

The formula associated to the position code.

ATA #

The ATA chapter associated to the position code.

Base Part #

The base part number to which the part belongs.

Part Description

The textual description of the part.

NHA

The next higher assembly or parent part.

Revision #

The revision number of the model configuration.

Drawing #

The number identifying the document that contains the drawing depicting the part details.

File Name

The file name of the drawing document.

The system displays the following field in the "Document Attachment Details" group box:

File Name

The file name of the document attached to the model configuration

Zoom facility available.

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Revised by

The name of the user who revised the model configuration details.

Revision Date

The date on which the model configuration is revised.

Approved by

The name of the user who approved the model configuration details.

Approved Date

The date on which the model configuration is approved.

Comments

Any additional remarks or comments regarding modifying the model configuration information.

Viewing model configuration – An overview

View Model Configuration - A summary of the activity

You can view the details of the selected model configuration in this page. The system displays the aircraft model, make, the configuration class to which the model is associated, configuration status and the revision number of the configuration.

For viewing the position code details, you can carry out a search based on the position code, part number, the parent part number, ATA chapter to which the position code is associated or the level code. Details such as the position code, part number fitted to the position code, position code status and its type are displayed. The level at which the part number and the position code occur in the model configuration hierarchy is also displayed in the multiline. Figure 1 illustrates the method in which the level codes are generated in the model configuration hierarchy.

The system indicates whether the part number can be used in a cargo aircraft and whether the part can be used in the aircraft that can fly in the reduced vertical separation minimum limit (RVSM). The zone and the position formula number where the position code physically exists, and the ATA chapter number that denotes the system to which the position code belongs, is also displayed.

You can also view the document that contains the drawing related to the part.
