Viewing MEL position information for model configuration – An overview
In this page you can view the exact position codes, of the part selected in the View Minimum Equipment List” page, included in the MEL. The position code details are displayed in this page only when the MEL quantity is less than the total quantity specified for the part in the model.
The level code uniquely identifies the level at which the position code and the associated part number occur in the model configuration. Refer Figure 1 for an illustration of level code generation in the model configuration hierarchy.
The position code and the part number included in the minimum equipment list are displayed along with the level code. The system displays the conditions based on which the part associated to the position code can remain in an unserviceable state. The maintenance and operational implications of flying the aircraft with the part fitted in the position code in an unserviceable state is also displayed.
