Defining spare part information for part configuration – An overview
This page allows you to identify spare parts for the part configuration. Among the various parts associated or fitted to the aircraft, certain parts are identified as spare parts, which are defined in “Part Administration” business component. Some of these spare parts need to be tracked, for various reasons such as their high value in terms of their price, warranty requirements and to identify parts that are fitted on a trial basis.
For trackable spare parts, the position codes are generated by the system with a prefix that is user-defined.
You can identify the spare parts only for part configuration that is already defined. You can specify the number of spare parts of each type to be identified for the selected part configuration. You can also specify whether the spare part needs to be tracked or not and provide a prefix for the trackable spare parts.
