Build Part Configuration – A summary of the activity
A set of identical components may be grouped into a single addressable group called “Part”, which is defined in “Part Administration” business component This activity allows you to define configuration details for a selected part. You can define a new configuration for the part or modify the configuration details that are already defined for a part in this activity.
You can select the part for which the configuration details are to be defined in the “Select Part” page. In the “Build Part Configuration Information” page, you can create or modify the configuration details of the selected part. The “Edit Spare Parts List” page allows you to identify the spare parts for the part. You can create or modify the position codes for the spare parts defined for the part, in the “Edit Spare Part Position Information” page.

Identify spare part list for part configuration
You can identify spare parts for the part configuration. Among the various part numbers associated or fitted to the aircraft, certain parts are identified as spare parts, which are defined in “Part Administration” business component. The position code details for the spare parts identified in the model can also be entered.
Use the “Edit Spare Parts List” page to specify the spare part required for the part configuration.
Use the “Edit Spare Part Position Information” page to enter the position details for the spare parts.
Specify additional information
Use the “Edit Notes” page to specify the additional information pertaining to part configuration.
Note: Ensure that only one record in the multiline is selected and the “Next level (Y/N)” field is set to “Yes”. Also, the position code of the selected child part should be in “Active” status.
