What you can do in this activity

The “Revise Allocations” activity allows you to revise the allocation of a visit package to an execution center. You may have to revise allocations due to changes in the schedule or other constraints work units, or changes in the aircraft schedules. This activity enables you to modify the visit package details or cancel a visit package.

Modifying the execution unit to which the visit package is allocated

You can modify the execution unit to which the visit package is allocated. When the execution unit is modified, the system changes the status of the visit package to “Canceled” in the earlier execution unit. The system creates a new visit package, in the modified execution unit, and copies all the details of the canceled visit package into it.

Cancel a visit package

You can cancel a visit package that is already allocated to an execution center. When you cancel the visit package, the system changes the status of the visit package to “Cancel” and the status of the work unit to “Pending”.

Re-prioritize visit packages

You can modify the priority  of a visit package. This indicates the urgency at which the visit package must be executed. You can use the priority descriptions defined in the “Create Priority Numbers” activity of the “Common Masters” business component to prioritize visit packages.

Modify the grounding date and the primary work centre

You can modify the schedule grounding date and the primary work centre to which the selected visit package is allocated.

Note: You cannot modify the above, if the visit package is in the “Released” or “Partially Released” status or has a revision number.
