Revising planned visit package information
This page allows you to modify the details of the visit package selected in the “Select Visit Package” page. Tell me more
Select the “Revise Visit Package Information” link in the “Select Visit Package” page.
The “Edit Visit Package Information” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following in the “Aircraft Details” multiline:

Modify the following fields, if required:
Execution Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to select the organization unit to which the visit package must be relocated. |
Note: You cannot modify the execution unit, if the status of the visit package is “Released” or “Partially Released” or if the visit package has a revision number. If the execution unit is modified, the system changes the status of the visit package to “Canceled” in the earlier execution unit. The system creates a new visit package, in the modified execution unit, and copies all the details of the canceled visit package into it and sets the status of the new visit package as “Fresh”.
Grounding Date |
The date on which the aircraft is grounded for the execution of maintenance activities (Date Format). Mandatory |
Note: You cannot modify the grounding date, if the visit package is in the “Released” or “Partially Released” status or has a revision number. The grounding date is displayed either in GMT or local time, based on the options set in the “Time Zone” systems parameter.
Work Center Capability Check |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether work center capability check is required or not. The system lists the options: “Required” and “Not Required” and sets the option “Not Required” by default. |

Primary Work Center # |
The location for maintenance execution to which the visit package is allotted (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. Ensure that the work center is valid and is in the “Active” status for the specified execution unit. |

Priority |
Use the drop-down list box to select the level of urgency of the visit package. The system lists all the priority descriptions defined in the “Create Priority Numbers” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. The system sets the field blank by default. |

Note: The system retrieves only those work units for which work orders have not been generated from the visit package. All those work units whose schedule dates have been modified and reforecast, are also retrieved from the forecasting log.

Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline, to select the work units for deletion.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the selected work units and all its related references from the visit package.
Modifying visit package
Click the “Edit Visit Package” pushbutton, to update the modified details in the visit package.
Note: This action is workflow-enabled. Notification messages can be sent as per the settings you have defined in the "Workflow Management" business component.
If the “Aircraft Workscope: Allocation Revision Method” and the “Component Workscope: Allocation Revision Method” parameters are set as “Direct” in the “Set Options” activity, the system updates the modifications directly in the visit package.
However, if these options are set as “Modification Log”, the system updates the “Modification log“, which is maintained with the visit package details.“ The system stores the name of the login user and the current server date as the last modified date.
Canceling the allocation of a visit package to an execution center
Click the “Cancel Visit Package” pushbutton, to cancel the visit package.
The system cancels the work unit selected in the visit package and removes those work units from the visit package, which are not a part of a work order or set with a reference document type as "Maintenance Report". If the “Aircraft Workscope: Allocation Revision Method” and the “Component Workscope: Allocation Revision Method” parameters are set as “Modification Log” in the “Set Options” activity, the system updates the “Modification Log” of the visit package, with allocations that are either processed or ignored. The system also adds the remark “Visit Cancelled”, to the modification comments in the modification log.
However, if these options are set as “Direct”, the system cancels the work unit and removes the work units and their related information from the visit package. The status of the work units is changed to “Pending”. You cannot cancel a visit package in the “Released” or “Partly Released” status.
To view the workload of the execution center
Select the “View Execution Center Load” link at the bottom of the page to view the workload of an execution center, before revising the allocation.
To view the work center capability
Select the “View Workcenter Capability” link at the bottom of the page to view the maintenance capabilities of a work center.
Note: Select at least one work unit in the multiline, to view the work center capability.
You can cancel the work unit, which is part of the visit package that is already allocated to an execution center. When all the work units as part of the visit package are canceled, the system changes the status of the visit package to “Canceled” and the status of those work units to “Pending”.
Click the “Cancel Visit Package” pushbutton, to cancel the selected visit package.

Revising planned visit package information – An overview
This page allows you to modify the details of the visit package selected in the “Select Visit Package” page. You can modify the execution unit, primary work center, grounding date and priority number of the visit package. Based on the option set in the “Set Options” activity for the allocation revision method, the system either updates the visit package directly or updates the modification log of the visit package.
This activity also helps you to cancel the selected visit package. When you cancel the visit package, the system removes the work units, which are not part of any work order, from the visit package.
When you modify or cancel the visit package, the system stores the name of the login user and the current server date as the last modified date.
