Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

Using this tab you can modify the work unit details associated to the component work order.

The system displays the following fields in the “Discrepancy / MR Details” group box, if the component work order is generated against discrepancy or maintenance report:

Discrepancy Count

The number of discrepancies for which the component work order is created.

Maint. Report Count

The number of maintenance reports for which the component work order is created.

Note: The corresponding work unit details are retrieved in the multiline.

Planned Start Date & Time

The date on which the component work order execution is scheduled for start (Date Format). This field can be modified only when the CWO is in “Fresh” status.

Planned End Date & Time

The date on which the component work order execution is scheduled for completion (Date Format). This field can be modified only when the CWO is in “Fresh” status.

Est. Elapsed Time

The time estimated to complete the CWO execution (Time Format). Ensure that the value entered is positive.

Use the drop-down list box provided alongside, to specify the unit of measurement for the time allotted for the CWO execution. The system lists the options “Hours”, “Minutes” and “Days”.

Required Date

The date on which the component work order is required to be executed (Date Format).

Authorization

Use the drop-down list box to specify if the component work order requires authorization or not. The system provides the following options:

  • “Required” – Select this option if the component work order needs to be authorized.

  • “Not required” – Select this option if authorization of component work order is not required.

Authorization Comments

Any additional comments pertaining to authorization of the component work order (Alphanumeric, 255).

The system displays the following field in the “Work Unit Details” multiline.

Link Info

Indicates whether the part details and resource details are entered for the task. The system displays one of the following:

  • P - If part details are available.

  • R – If resource details are available.

  • N- if notes are available.

  • PRN – If part details, resource details and Notes are entered.

Note: You can modify the task or work unit details only when the component work order is in the “Fresh” status. For the “Authorized” CWO you can add new work units in the multiline.

Seq #

The sequence in which the tasks should be performed while executing the component work order (Integer). Ensure that the sequence number is a positive integer and is unique in the multiline.

If you have left the sequence number blank, the system automatically assigns a sequence number to each row, in the order in which they are entered in the multiline, on clicking the “Update Component Work Order” pushbutton. Ensure that you do not leave it blank for any of the tasks occurring in between.

Note: You can modify the sequence number of the task only for the CWO that is in the “Fresh” or “Authorized” status.

Task #

The number identifying the task that must be performed for component work order execution (Alphanumeric, 30). Ensure that the task has already been defined in the “Create Task” activity of the “Maintenance Task” business component and is in “Active” status.

Help facility available.

Note: You cannot delete tasks that are already associated to an authorized CWO. While adding new tasks to the authorized CWO, the system changes the status of the newly added task to “Authorized” on clicking the “Update Component Work Order” pushbutton, depending on the option selected in the “Set Options” activity.

Ensure that the part number, to which the component belongs, is already defined as the component effectivity for the task entered in the above field.

If the base part number of the part is associated to the task, ensure that the “Modified Part # Applicability” field is set to “Yes” for the task in the “Component Effectivity” page of the “Maintenance Task” business component.

The system displays the following field in the “Work Unit Details” multiline:

Revision #

The revision number of the task.

Task Description

The textual description of the task (Alphanumeric, 150).

A     Tip: If you have not specified any task number but have entered details in the “Task Description” field, the system generates a non-standard task in the “Maintenance Task” business component. This task will contain a sub-task and the resource group will be set as “Inspector & Mechanic”.

Work Center #

Use the drop-down list box to modify the work center in which the task will be performed. The system lists all the work centers in the alphabetical order, defined in the “ Create Work Center” activity of the “ Work Center” business component and for which the login user has access rights. Ensure that the work center is already associated to the task.

Est. Man Hrs

The total man-hours estimated to complete the task (Decimal). Ensure that the value entered is positive.

Time Unit

Use the drop-down list box to select the time unit for the time allotted for the task. The system lists the options “Hours” and “Days” and sets the field to “Hours” by default.

Est. Elapsed Time

The time estimated to complete the task (Time Format). Ensure that the value entered is positive.

Note: While creating a non-standard task, if the “Estimated Elapsed Time” is not provided, system will set the estimated elapsed time as one hour.

Note: If the estimated elapsed time is not specified, the system calculates the time as follows:

  1. The latest date (that is, the last end date of all work units) is set as the Planned End Date and Time for the CWO.

  2. The planned start date and time is subtracted from the planned end date and time to arrive at the estimated elapsed time.

Planned Start Date

The date on which the maintenance task is planned for start (Date Format). This field can be modified only when the CWO task is in “Fresh” status.

Planned Start Time

The time at which the maintenance task is planned for start (Time Format). This field can be modified only when the CWO task is in “Fresh” status.

Planned End Date

The date on which the maintenance task is planned for completion (Date Format). This field can be modified only when the CWO task is in “Fresh” status.

Planned End Time

The time at which the maintenance task is planned for completion (Time Format). This field can be modified only when the CWO task is in “Fresh” status.

Note: Ensure that the start date and time is not later than the end date and time.

If the “Planned Start Date” is not available for a task, the system considers the WO Planned Start Date of the work order

If the “Planned End date” has not been specified, the system calculates the date as follows:

  1. If rota schedule has been mapped to the work center:

Planned End Date

=

Planned Start Date

+

Est. Elapsed Time (in hours)

/

Total Work Center Duration

  1. If rota schedule has not been mapped to the work center:

Planned End Date

=

Planned Start Date

Est. Elapsed Time (in hours)

/

Man hours Per Day

The system regenerates the sequence number in multiples of five, thereby enabling you to specify the sequence number for the newly added sub task.
