Capability Details

You can define the capability details applicable to the slot.
Select the “Capability Details” tab in the “Configure Slot Attributes” page.
Enter the following in the “Capability Details” multiline:

Maintenance Object Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the maintenance object type. The valid options are “Aircraft Model” and ‘Part”. Mandatory |

A/C Model# |
The model of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 40). Ensure that you enter the aircraft model of “Active” status defined in the “Aircraft” business component. This field is mandatory if you selected the Maintenance Object Type as “Aircraft Model”. This field must be left blank if you selected the Maintenance Object Type as “Part”. |

Part # |
The unique identifier of the part (Alphanumeric, 40). This field is mandatory if you selected the Maintenance Object Type as “Part”. This field must be left blank if you selected the Maintenance Object Type as “Aircraft Model”. Ensure that you enter a valid 'Part #' defined in the “Inventory Setup” business component. |

The system displays the following fields for you to enter, and hides the “Part #” field above, if the parameter “Enable Manufacturer Part # control in transaction” under the Category ‘Manufacturer Part #’ is set as “Yes” in the “Set Inventory Process Parameters” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component.

Mfr. Part # |
The number assigned to the part, by the manufacturer of the part. (Alphanumeric, 40). This field is mandatory if you select the Maintenance Object Type as “Part / Mfr. Part #”. The following statements are true with respect to the manufacturer part number entered here:

Mfr. # |
The code identifying the manufacturer of the part. (Alphanumeric, 45). Data entry in this field is mandatory, if the same manufacturer part number belonging to different manufacturer number is available in more than one row in the multiline and if the facility number is not entered in those rows. Note: The Mfr. Part # - Mfr. # combination must be defined in the “Part Administration” business component.
The system displays the following in the “Capability Details” multiline if you used the help facility to select the A/C Model# or Part#:

Model/Part Description |
The system displays the Aircraft Model description/ Part Description depending on whether you selected the A/C Model# or entered the Part #. |
Click the “Record Slot Attributes” pushbutton to save the slot attributes.
The system displays the value in “Model/Part Description” field if you entered a value in the A/C Model# or Part # fields.

Select the “Standard Skill Availability” tab to record/ view the skill availability details of a slot.
