What you can do in this activity

This activity allows you to modify and activate or inactivate the UOM details. A UOM once inactivated cannot be used again.

The “Edit UOM Information” page allows you to search and select the UOM for modification. You can modify the UOM Information that is already defined. This page also allows you to inactivate an UOM. The “Edit Part Independent Conversion” page allows you to modify the conversion factors that are already defined. Modify the option to allow or disallow fractions in UOM

You can modify the option to allow or disallow fractions in a particular UOM. Allowing or disallowing fractions will decide the usage of the UOM in transactions.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Activate or inactivate a UOM

A UOM will be in “Active” status at the time of creation. You can modify the status to “Inactive”, if you do not wish the users to transact in that particular UOM in future. If required, a disabled UOM can be activated again.

  You cannot delete a UOM that is already created. You can only inactivate it.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Modify the conversion factor for the part independent UOM

You can modify the conversion factors for those UOMs, which are not dependent on the nature of the part. The conversion factor enables you to convert from one UOM to another UOM.
