The “Manage Cabin Layout” page appears.

Cabin Layout for

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether you wish to record the configuration details for an aircraft model or a specific aircraft. The drop-down list box displays the following: Aircraft Model # or Aircraft Reg. #.

 

  • If you have selected Aircraft Model # in the “Cabin Layout for” drop-down list box, the following fields appear in which you can enter values to retrieve specific model:

Aircraft Model #

Use the drop-down list box to select the model of the aircraft for which you wish to retrieve details in the multiline. Mandatory. The system lists all the aircraft model numbers as defined in the “Aircraft” business component.

By default the system leaves this field blank.

Configuration Class

Use the drop-down list box to select the configuration class to be associated to the aircraft registration number. Mandatory. The system lists the configuration classes that are mapped to the selected aircraft model. The drop-down list box displays blank, if  you have not selected any aircraft model#.

Maint. Operator #

Use the drop-down list box to select the customer for whom the aircraft is flying, The drop-down list box displays the ‘Active’ airline operators defined in the Aircraft business component.

Aircraft Reg. #

The tail # of the aircraft.

The aircraft must be an ‘Active’ aircraft as defined in the Aircraft business component.

The “Cabin Layout for” group box displays the following, if you have selected Aircraft Model # in the Cabin Layout for drop-down list under the “Layout Definition” group box:

Cabin Layout for  

Indicates that you are recording the cabin layout details for an aircraft model.

Aircraft Model #

The aircraft model for which you are recording cabin layout details.

Configuration Class

The configuration class to which the cabin layout belongs.  

Maint. Operator #

The customer that operates the aircraft.

Cabin Layout defined?

Indicates whether the cabin layout has already been defined or not.

  • Yes implies cabin layout configuration has been defined

  • No implies cabin layout configuration has not been defined

Conversely, you can view the following fields, if you have selected Aircraft # in the “Cabin Layout for” drop-down list in the “Layout Definition” group box:

Cabin Layout for

Indicates that you are recording the cabin layout details for a specific aircraft.

Aircraft Reg. #

The aircraft for which you are recording cabin configuration details.

Aircraft Model #

The model of the aircraft for which you are recording cabin layout details.

Configuration Class

The configuration class to which the cabin configuration.

Cabin Layout defined?

Indicates whether the cabin layout has already been defined or not.

  • Yes implies cabin layout configuration has been defined

  • No implies cabin layout configuration has not been defined

Maint. Operator #

The customer that operates the aircraft.

Cabin Layout Status

Indicates the cabin layout status for the aircraft, such as Fresh or Active.

Note: The layout status of the aircraft is set as ‘Fresh’ upon saving of the layout details. However, on confirming of the mapping details in the “Map Cabin Configuration” page, the status becomes ‘Active’. Alternately, the layout status of the aircraft also becomes ‘Active’ upon activation of the aircraft in the Maintain Planning Information activity of Aircraft.

Double Deck

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether Cabin is defined in two different sections. You can select from the options “Yes” or “No”.

The system displays “No” by default in this field.

Deck

Use the drop-down list box to specify the deck for which configuration is defined. The system lists the following options:

·         Main - Select this option if you wish to define configuration for the aircraft main deck.

·         Upper - Select this option if you wish to define configuration for the aircraft upper deck.

The system displays “Main” by default in this field, if you have selected ‘No’ in the Double Deck.

Max Column Layout

The number of columns of seats that is required. Mandatory.

Ensure the value entered in this field is an alphabetical value separated by comma.

By default the system leaves this field blank.

Recording configuration details of cabin section

Section Name

The name of the section for which you wish to define configuration details. For Example: Business class, doors.

Section Description

A brief textual description of the section. Data entry in this field is mandatory if no value is specified in the “Section Name” field.

Section Class

Use the drop-down list box to select the class to which the section in the cabin layout belongs. The drop-down list box displays the following:

  • First Class

  • Business Class

  • Premium Economy Class

  • Economy Class

  • Others

Seat Section?

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the section in the cabin comprises of only seats. The drop-down list box displays the following: Yes or No.

Select:

  • Yes, if the section has only seats

  • No, if the section has both seats and equipment/gadget

Column Layout

The column layout in a given section.

Note: 1) It is mandatory that you enter a positive integer, if Seat Section? is ‘Yes’. 2) Do not enter a value in this field, if Seat Section? is ‘No’.

Row Count

The number of rows in the section. Mandatory.

Note: It is mandatory that you enter a positive integer, if Seat Section? is ‘Yes’. Do not enter a value in this field, if Seat Section? is ‘No’.

Starting Row #

The number identifying the starting row count.

Note: 1) It is mandatory that you enter a positive integer, if Seat Section? is ‘Yes’. 2) Do not enter a value in this field, if Seat Section? is ‘No’.

Ending Row #

The number identifying the ending row count.

Note: 1) It is mandatory that you enter a positive integer, if Seat Section? is ‘Yes’. 2) Do not enter a value in this field, if Seat Section? is ‘No’.

Seq #

The number identifying the sequence of the section. Mandatory.

Non-Seat Count

The count of non-seat items in the section.

Note: This field is mandatory, if “Seat Section?” is selected as Yes.

Non-Seat Identifiers

The unique identification for the non-seat item.

Has Exit?

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether an exit is present in the section. You can select from the options:

·         No - Select this option if there is no exit present between two sections.

·         Front - Select this option if there is an exit present in front of the section.

·         Rear - Select this option if there is an exit present behind the section.

The system displays “No” by default in this field.

The Record Statistics displays the following:

Created By

The login ID of the user who created the cabin layout for the aircraft model or aircraft.

Created Date

The date on which the user created the cabin layout for the aircraft model or aircraft.

Last Modified By

The login ID of the user who most recently modified the cabin layout for the aircraft model or aircraft.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the user most recently modified the cabin layout for the aircraft model or aircraft.

To proceed

Note: The cabin layout and cabin equipment mapping for an aircraft model is always set for in combination with the configuration class and maintenance operator. However, if maintenance operator has not been tagged to the aircraft model, the system takes into account only the configuration class and aircraft model for configuration and mapping definition.

Search Criteria

To find aircraft models:

Aircraft Model #  

To retrieve a specific aircraft model, use the drop-down list box to select the aircraft model. The drop-down list box displays the ‘Active’ aircraft models defined in the Aircraft business component.

Configuration Class

To retrieve aircraft models belonging to a specific configuration class, select the configuration class from the drop-down list box. The drop-down list box displays the Active configuration classes defined in the Aircraft business component.

Include Undefined?

Select the check box to retrieve aircraft models for which cabin layout has not been defined. 

Do not select the check box, if you wish to exclude from the search models for which cabin layout has been not been defined.

To find aircraft:

Search by Aircraft Reg #

To retrieve a specific aircraft, enter the tail # of the aircraft. You can enter the number in full or specify it interspersed with the “*” character. The system retrieves aircraft with numbers similar to the value entered here.

Search by Aircraft Model #

To retrieve aircraft of a specific aircraft model, enter the aircraft model #. You can enter the number in full or specify it interspersed with the “*” character. The system retrieves models with numbers similar to the value entered here.

Group By

The attribute based on which you want to group the aircraft retrieved by the search. The drop-down list box displays the following: Aircraft Model #, Customer # and Maint. Operator #.

Include Undefined?

Select the check box to retrieve aircraft for which cabin layout has not been defined. 

 

If you wish to exclude any aircraft for which cabin layout has been not been defined from the search, do not select the check box.
