Basics of using a typical web page

Using Online Help

This page allows you to select a component to view its details. If you know the component number to be viewed, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the component number, status, part number, ATA chapter, component type and the organizational unit description. The details of the selected component such as its number, the part to which the component belongs, part description, type of the component, ATA chapter to which the component belongs and the component status are displayed.

The “Select Component” page appears.

Component #

The component for which the details are to be retrieved (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the component numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Record Status

Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the component to be viewed, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”. The system lists all those components that are in the status specified here. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of components irrespective of their status. The system sets the field to “Active” by default.

ATA #

The ATA chapter to which the component belongs (Alphanumeric, 16). You can enter the ATA chapter number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the components whose ATA chapter numbers are similar to the number entered here.

Part #

The part to which the component belongs (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all components belonging to this part.

Note

Mfr. Part #/Mfr. #

The manufacturer part number of the part related to the component in the first input box (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the Mfr. part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character.

In the second input box, specify the manufacturer number of the part. You can enter the manufacturer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all components whose manufacturer part numbers and manufacturer numbers are similar to the value entered here.

NHA Mfr. Part #/NHA Part Mfr. #

The manufacturer part # of the parent part or next higher assembly in the first input box (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part# allotted by the manufacturer to the parent part in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all parts with parent parts whose manufacturer part numbers are similar to the value entered here.

The number identifying the manufacturer of the parent part or the next higher assembly. You can enter the manufacturer # for the parent part or next higher assembly in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all parts with parent parts whose manufacturer #numbers are similar to the value entered here.

Part Serial #

The serial number of the component (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part serial number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the components associated to the part serial number entered here.

 

 

Org. Unit Name

Use the drop-down list box to specify the description of the organizational unit where the component to be viewed, was created. The system lists all the components that are created in the OU specified here. By default, the system sets this field to the organizational unit you have logged into.

Part Description

The textual description of the part (Alphanumeric, 150). The system retrieves the component with the description entered here.

Part Classification

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the component, which could be “Rotable”, “Repairable” or “Controllable”. The system retrieves all components that are of the item specified here. The system leaves this field blank by default.

NHA Part #

The part number of the next higher assembly to which the component is attached (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system lists all the component numbers that are similar to the value entered here.

Customer

The number identifying the customer (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the customer number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all components associated to the customer number entered here.

Customer Name

The name of the customer (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the customer name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all components associated to the customer name entered here.

Note: The system lists all the components defined in the organizational unit that you have logged into, if all the search criteria fields are left blank.

Component #

The number identifying the component.

Part #

The part to which the component belongs.

Mfr. Part #

The manufacturer part number of the component.

Mfr. #

The manufacturer number of the component.

Part Description

The textual description of the part

Serial #

The serial number of the component.

Part Classification

The type of the component which could be “Rotable”, “Repairable” or “Controllable”.

ATA #

The ATA chapter to which the component belongs.

Record Status

The status of the component, which could be “Active” or “Inactive”.

NHA Part #

The number of the next higher assembly or the parent part, to which the component is associated.

NHA Mfr. Part #

The manufacturer part number of the parent part, which is also referred to as the next higher assembly.

NHA Part Mfr. #

The manufacturer # of the parent part of the component, which is also referred to as the next higher assembly.

Customer

The number identifying the customer.

Customer Name

The name of the customer.
