Selecting aircraft for changing the registration number

In this page you can select the aircraft for changing its registration number. Tell me more.

Select the “Change Aircraft Reg #” link under the “Aircraft” business component.

The “Select Aircraft” page appears.

The system displays the following:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the aircraft for which the registration number must be changed:

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft registration number that must be changed (Alphanumeric, 30). The ‘Mode of Usage’ for the aircraft specified here must be “Online” which indicates that the aircraft is in main base.

Select the “Change Aircraft Reg #” link at the bottom of the page to change the aircraft registration number.

To search for an aircraft

Enter the following filter criteria in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a particular aircraft registration number. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Aircraft Reg #	The aircraft registration number that is to be changed (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the registration number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all aircraft with registration numbers similar to the number entered here.
Record Status	Use the drop-down list box to specify the status of the aircraft record. The system lists the options “Under Creation” and “Active”. Leave this field blank if you wish to retrieve details of aircraft irrespective of their status. The system leaves this field blank by default.
Aircraft Model #	The model to which the aircraft belongs (Alphanumeric, 20). You can enter the model number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all aircraft belonging to the model specified here.
Configuration Class	The configuration to which the aircraft belongs (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the configuration class in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all aircraft belonging to the configuration class entered here.
Manufacturer Serial #	The MSN, or the manufacturer’s serial number given to the aircraft by the manufacturer at the time of production (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the manufacturer serial number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all aircraft with the manufacturer serial number entered here.
Display Reg # Change Initiated Record	Check this box to retrieve all the newly changed registration numbers, which are yet to be confirmed.

Click the “Search” pushbutton to display the search results.

Note: The system retrieves all the aircraft that are in “Under Creation” or “Active” status.

The system does not retrieve the aircraft records that are in “Frozen” status.

You can change the registration number of only one aircraft at a time. The registration number of any other aircraft can be changed only if the previous aircraft registration number change process is completed.

You cannot launch the “Change Aircraft Reg #” page, if the registration number change process is still in progress for any aircraft.

The system fills in the following fields in the multiline, based on the search criteria entered:

Aircraft Reg #	The registration number of the aircraft. The ‘Mode of Usage’ of the aircraft must be “Online”.
Manufacturer Serial #	The MSN, or the manufacturer’s serial number given to the aircraft by the manufacturer at the time of production.
Aircraft Model #	The model to which the aircraft belongs.
Configuration Class	The configuration to which the aircraft belongs.
Record Status	The status of the aircraft record, which could be “Under Creation” or “Active”.

The system displays the following fields in the “Aircraft Reg # Change Process Report” group box:

Aircraft Reg #

The registration number of the aircraft, that was last modified.

Status

The status of the process of changing the aircraft registration number, which could be one of the following:

In-Progress – When the process of changing the aircraft registration number is in progress.
Completed – When the process of changing the aircraft registration number is completed.

Note: If the status of the aircraft registration number change process is “In-Progress”, the status of the newly changed aircraft registration number will be “Under Creation”.

If the status of the aircraft registration number change process is “Completed”, the status of the newly changed aircraft registration number will be “Active”.

New Reg #	The new registration number of the aircraft.
Initiated Date & Time	The date and time at which the new aircraft registration number is created in “Under Creation” status.
Initiated by	The login ID of the employee who initiated the need for the change in aircraft registration number.
Completed Date & Time	The date and time at which the process of changing the aircraft registration number is completed.

Note: The above fields will be left blank, if there is no change in the registration number of any of the aircraft.

Selecting aircraft for changing the aircraft registration number - An overview

This page allows you to select an aircraft for changing its registration number. If you know the aircraft registration number to be modified, you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the aircraft registration number, record status and aircraft model.
