Note: You cannot launch the “Change Aircraft Reg #” page, if the registration number change process is still in progress for any aircraft.

The system displays the following:

Date & Time Format

The format in which the date and time fields are displayed in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

The system displays the following fields in the “Aircraft Details” group box:

Aircraft Reg #

The aircraft registration number that is to be changed.

Record Status

The status of the aircraft record, which could be “Under Creation” or “Active”.

Aircraft Model #

The model to which the aircraft belongs.

Manufacturer Serial #

The MSN, or the manufacturer’s serial number given to the aircraft by the manufacturer at the time of production.

Station

The name of the station that is mapped to the login organization unit in the “Enterprise Setup” business component.

Aircraft Reg #

The new registration number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. Ensure that the aircraft registration number entered is unique and different from the aircraft registration number specified in the “Aircraft Details” group box.

The system displays the following field in the “Aircraft Identifier Change Details” group box:

Record Status

The status of the newly created aircraft record, which could be “Under Creation” or “Active”.

Nose

The nose number of the aircraft is an aircraft identifier, which is primarily used by the marketing department of an airline (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory.

Note: Ensure that the “Nose #” entered is not applicable for any other aircraft manufacturer serial number.

Variable Tab #

The unique tab number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). Mandatory. The variable tab number is one of the identifiers of the aircraft.

Note: If you are specifying a new variable tab number, ensure that the tab number is unique for the manufacturer number associated to the aircraft model.

Regulatory Authority

Use the drop-down list box to select the regulatory authority to which the aircraft belongs. Regulatory Authorities are the statutory bodies responsible for laying, implementing and monitoring of standards regarding airworthiness of the aircraft. The system lists all the regulatory authority codes that are in “Active” status, as defined in the “Create Regulatory Authority Codes” activity of the “Common Masters” business component. Mandatory.

Reg. Cert #

The number identifying the registration certificate of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 40). Mandatory. Ensure that the registration certificate number is unique for the aircraft manufacturer serial number. Data entry in this field is mandatory, if the “Engagement Type” of the aircraft registration number specified in the “Aircraft Details” group box is “Full Maintenance”.

Issue Date

The date on which the registration certificate is issued to the aircraft (Date Format).

Aircraft Ownership

Use the drop-down list box to indicate the ownership type of the aircraft. The system provides the following options:

  • Owned - indicates that the aircraft is owned.

  • Leased - indicates that the aircraft is taken on lease.

  • Leased out - indicates that the aircraft is leased out to a third party.

  • Customer – indicates that the aircraft is owned by customer.

Lease Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the type of lease, if you have selected “Leased” or “Leased out” in the “Aircraft Ownership” field. The system provides the following options:

  • Wet - indicates that the lessee should maintain the aircraft.

  • Dry - indicates that the lessor should maintain the aircraft.

The system leaves this field blank by default.

Owning Agency

The code identifying the agency that owns the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 45). Ensure that the value entered here is an active customer code as defined in the “Customer” business component.

Effective from Date/Time

The date and time from which the newly created aircraft registration number is effective (Date & Time Format). Mandatory.

The system displays the following field in the “Change Reason Details” group box:

Time Zone

The time zone that is mapped to the station in the “Common Masters” business component.

Replacement Reason #

The unique number identifying the reason for removal of a component from the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory. Ensure that replacement reason number entered here is active as defined in the “Create Reasons For Removal” activity of the “Common Masters” business component.

Change Reason

The reason for changing the aircraft registration number (Alphanumeric, 255). Mandatory

The system displays the following fields in the “Affected Transaction Details” multiline:

Transaction

The transactions affected by the change in aircraft registration number, which could be “Visit Package”, “Component Replacement”, “Journey Log”, “Technical Log”, “Hangar Work Order”, “Certificate of Maintenance”, “Engineering Document”, “Fleet Campaign Directive”, “Flight Sheet”, “Discrepancy”, “Deferred Discrepancy”, “Maintenance Material Request” and “Occurrence Report”.

Transaction #

The number identifying the transaction document.

The system displays the following in the “Transaction #” field:

Note: The system considers all the component replacements that are created in the “Component Replacement” business component, and other business components such as “Flight Log” and “Hangar Work Reporting”.

The system displays the following fields:

Revision #

The revision number of the transaction document.

Transaction Date

The date on which the transaction document was created.

Current Status

The status of the transaction document as on the current server date and time.

Note: For “Engineering Document” transaction, if an eng.document work unit is allocated to the transaction document, the system displays “Allocated” in the “Current Status” field. Else the system displays “Not Complied”.

For “Fleet Campaign Directive” transaction, if a fleet campaign directive (FCD) work unit is allocated to the transaction document, the system displays “Allocated” in the “Current Status” field. Else, the system displays “Not Complied”.

Termination Mandatory?

The system displays “Yes” or “No”, to indicate whether termination of the transaction is mandatory or not.

Action By

Indicates whether the termination of the transaction must be performed by the “User” or the “System”.

Note: For “Maintenance Material Request” transaction, the system displays “User” in the “Action By” field, if the material request documents refer hangar work order or technical log. Else the system displays “System”.

Changing aircraft registration number

The system performs the following:

Note: If the configuration has been revised for the previous registration number, the system copies the latest revision of the configuration details to the new aircraft registration number, but maintains its revision number as “0”.

Confirming change in aircraft registration number

Note: You can confirm the change in registration number of the aircraft only if all the transactions are in “Closed” status.

On confirmation of the change in aircraft registration number, the new aircraft registration number will be activated and the previous aircraft registration number will be inactivated.

The system performs the following:

Canceling the change in aircraft registration number

Note: You can cancel the aircraft registration number change process, only if the record status of the newly created aircraft registration number is “Under Creation” and if the newly created aircraft record is not yet confirmed.

The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Initiated by

The login ID of the user who initiated the change in the aircraft registration number.

Initiated Date & Time

Changing aircraft registration number – An overview

Change Aircraft Reg # - A summary of the activity

This page allows you to change the registration number of an existing aircraft. You can assign a unique registration number for the aircraft and enter other details of the aircraft.  The system displays the details of the previous aircraft registration number. You can enter the details such as variable tab number and nose number, which is primary used by marketing department for easy identification of the aircraft.

The ownership details of the aircraft, such as the registration certificate number, date of issue of the certificate, and the regulatory authority of the aircraft can be entered. If the aircraft has been taken on lease or if it was leased out to another airline operator, the type of the lease should be specified.

The system copies the aircraft details, configuration details, parameter details and other details of the previous aircraft registration number to the new aircraft registration number.
