Editing aircraft model information
You can modify the details of the selected aircraft model in this page. Details such as the aircraft manufacturer, type of the aircraft and the model description can be modified. The system updates the details of the aircraft model and sets the current server date as last modified date.
Select the “Edit Aircraft Model” link at the bottom of the “Select Aircraft Model” page.
The “Edit Aircraft Model” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default. |
The system displays the following field in the “Aircraft Model Details” group box:
Aircraft Model # |
The aircraft model number selected for modification. |
Enter the following to modify the model details:
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the aircraft model, which could be either “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Set the status as “Inactive”, if you wish to disable this aircraft model number from future reference in other activities. |

Manufacturer # |
The code identifying the manufacturer of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 45). |
Model Type |
Use the drop-down list box to modify the type of the aircraft model. The system displays the list of quick codes that are in the “Active” status, defined in the “Create Quick Code" activity. |
Model Description |
The textual description of the aircraft model. This field should not be left blank (Alphanumeric, 150). |
Type Certificate # |
The type certificate number given to the aircraft model. When a new aircraft model is produced and tested, it is issued a certificate by the airworthiness authority of the country of produce, that the aircraft has been produced as per type design. The certificate is known as Type certificate. |
File Name |
The file name of the document that contains the aircraft model information (Alphanumeric, 30). Help facility available. |
The system displays the following fields in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Created By |
The name of the user who created the aircraft model. |
Last Modified By |
The name of the user who modified the aircraft model. |
Created Date |
The date on which the aircraft model was created. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the last modification was done. |
Click the “Edit Aircraft Model” pushbutton to modify the details of the model.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Edit Attribute & Technical Parameters” link at the bottom of the page to modify the attribute and technical parameter information.
Select the “Edit Consumption & Range Parameters” link at the bottom of the page to modify the attribute and technical parameter information.
Modify the status of the aircraft model
Model type is used to represent the various variants within a model. Some examples of model type can be ”B737” or "Jets". The combination of model and model type uniquely identifies a model. For example, Model B737 will have 400, 600 etc., as different types. The 737-400 and 737-600 are the different models. The model type can be used to group the models.
Use the “Model Type” drop-down list box to select the appropriate type for the model.
Modify the status of the aircraft model
You can modify the status of the aircraft model to “Active” or “Inactive”.
Set the “Status” field to “Active” to indicate that the aircraft model can be referred in other activities.
Set the “Status” field to “Inactive” if you wish to disable the aircraft model from future reference in other activities.
