Edit Depreciation Setup – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to modify the depreciation rule. You can also modify the rates defined for the depreciation rate ID. This activity also allows you to modify the depreciation rule assigned to the depreciation book. You can also inactivate the Depreciation Category and Rule already assigned to the depreciation book. You can also modify the calendar details defined for the depreciation calendar. You can modify both the financial year and the financial period details. This activity also allows you to modify the depreciation category description.
The system updates the status of the assignment to “Inactive” on deleting. The system updates the login ID of the user who modified the details and the system date to the date on which it is modified.

What you can do in this activity
The depreciation rule details like the method of depreciation, basis can be modified through this activity. You can modify the depreciation rule in “Active” status.
Go to “Edit Depreciation Rule” page.
Modify the necessary information including the yearly percentage.
Save the details.
The mapping between the depreciation rule and the depreciation book can be deleted.
Go to “Edit Assigned Rule” page.
Retrieve all the rules assigned to the depreciation book.
Delete the assignment.
The system updates the status to “Inactive”.
Go to “Edit Depreciation Category” page.
Modify the description pertaining to the category.
