Selecting work order for viewing
This page, you can search and select a work order to view its details. You can carry out a search based on the work order number, job status, work center, transient status, authorization status, visit package, aircraft registration number, authorization status and a range of scheduled start dates of the work order. You can also search for the work order using the advanced search criteria.
Select the “View Work Orders” link under the “Hangar Work Order” business component.
The “Select Work Order” page appears.
The system displays the following field:
Date Format |
The format in which the date field is displayed. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user ID. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the "Enterprise Modeling" business component by default. |
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for a work order. Data entry in the following fields is optional:
Work Order # |
The number of the work order that you need to view (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the work order number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work orders that are similar to the number entered here. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the work orders. |
Advanced Search ID |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the code that identifies a set of advanced search options to retrieve the work order or work order tasks. The system lists all the advance search IDs for the login user in the login organization unit. The system retrieves all the work orders or work order tasks based on the filter criteria specified in the advanced search criteria. The system sets the field blank by default. Leave this field to retrieve all the work orders or work order tasks, irrespective of the advance search options. |
Select the “Edit” link along side the field, to edit the advance search options.
Job Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the job status of the work order. The system provides the options “Fresh”, “Scheduled”, “Cancelled”, “In-Progress”, “Completed”, “Pre-Closed”, “Closed” and “Reversed”. The system retrieves all the work orders of the job status specified here. The system sets the field blank by default. Leave this field, to retrieve all the work orders irrespective of the job status. |
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center, to which the work order you need retrieve is attached. The system lists all the “active” work centers defined in the “Create Work Center” activity of the “Work Center” business component for the login user in the login organization unit. The system retrieves all the work orders attached to the work center specified here. The system sets the field blank by default. Leave this field blank, to retrieve all the work orders irrespective of the work center. |
Transient Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the transient status of the work order. The system provides the option, “Hold”, “Pending Deferral” and “Deferred”. The system retrieves all the work order of the transient status specified here. The system sets the field to blank by default. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the work orders, irrespective of their transient status. |
Authorization Status |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the authorization status of the work order. The system provides the option, “Authorized”, “Pending Authorization” and “Not Required” values. The system retrieves all the work order of the authorization status specified here. The system sets the field blank by default. Leave this field blank to retrieve all the work orders, irrespective of the authorization status. |
Visit Package # |
The number that identifies the visit package (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work orders that are associated with the visit packages whose number is similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank, to search for all the work orders irrespective of the visit packages. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The registration number of the aircraft (Alphanumeric, 30). You can enter the aircraft registration number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the work orders associated with the aircraft whose number is similar to the value specified here. Leave this field blank, to search for all work orders irrespective of the aircraft. |
Sch. Start Date: From |
The starting date, in the range of scheduled start dates, on which the work order is planned to be started (Date Format). The system lists all the work orders that have scheduled start dates on or after the date entered in this field. |
Sch. Start Date: To |
The ending date, in the range of scheduled start dates, on which the work order is planned to be started (Date Format). The system lists all the work orders that have scheduled start dates on or before the date entered in this field. |
Note: Ensure that the “From” date is not later than the “To” date.
Leave all the fields blank, to search for all the work orders in the system.
Click the “Search” pushbutton, to search for the work orders.
The system displays the following fields in the “Search Results” multiline:
Work Order # |
The work order retrieved by the system. |
Work Order Description |
The textual description of the work order. |
Job Status |
The status of the work order. |
Job Type |
The job type of the work order, which could be “On-Wing”, “Component Removal” or “Aircraft”. |
Work Center # |
The work center that is responsible for the execution of the work order. |
Aircraft Reg # |
The aircraft on which the work order task is executed. |
WO Category |
The category to which the work order belongs. |
User Status |
The user-defined status of the work order. |
Discrepancy Count |
The total number of discrepancy listed in the work order. |
Child WO Count |
The total number of child work orders associated to the selected work order. |
Authorization Status |
The authorization status of the work order, which could be “Authorized”, “Pending Authorization”, or “Not Required”. |
Transient Status |
The transient status of the work order, which could be “Hold”, “Pending Deferral” and “Deferred”. |
Task Count |
The number of tasks associated to the work order. |
Customer # |
The number identifying the customer, who owns the aircraft |
Customer Name |
The name of the customer owning the aircraft. |
Select the hyperlinked work order number to view the work order details.
To proceed, carry out the following:
Select the “View Order Status History” link at the bottom of the page, to view the status history of the work order.
Select the “View Sub-Work Orders” link at the bottom of the page, to view the sub work order details.
Select the “View Initiating Discrepancies” link at the bottom of the page, to view the discrepancies details of the work order.
Select the “View Reschedule History” link at the bottom of the page, to view the reschedule history of the work order or WO-tasks.
Select the “Set Advanced Search Criteria” link at the bottom of the page, to set the advance search criteria options.
Select the “View Work Group / Employee Assignments” link at the bottom of the page, to view the work group or the employee assigned.
Select the “View Resource Assignments” link at the bottom of the page, to view the resource assignments.
