Recording resource pricing caps
This section enables you to specify the limit beyond which the customer will not be charged for the labour hours used for servicing an object.
Select the “Res. Pricing Caps" tab in the “Edit Pricing and Invoicing Details” page.
The "Res. Pricing Caps" tab appears:
Enter the following fields in the multiline:

Use the drop-down list box to specify the object for which you wish to define pricing limit on the resource used for servicing. Data entry in this field is mandatory if any value is specified in a particular line in the multiline. The system lists the following options:
Note that this field cannot be modified while revising the contract. |

Use the drop-down list box to specify the code corresponding to the object effectivity reference. Data entry in this field is mandatory if a value is selected in the “Eff. Ref.” field. The system lists the options as follows:

The code identifying the resource caps corresponding to the object effectivity. |
Pricing Element |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the element on which you wish to define limit on the price of resources used for servicing an object. Data entry in this field is mandatory if a value is entered in the Eff. Ref. field.

Cap Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the terms in which the resource price limit is based on. The system lists the following options:

Evaluation Basis |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the basis of evaluation of the caps on resources.

Resource Type |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the type of the resource required for the execution of the task. The system lists the values “Skills”, “Tools”, “Equipment” and “Others”. Leave this field blank if “External Repair” is specified as the “Pricing Element”. |

The code identifying the resource required for executing a task. Ensure the following:

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the resource pricing limit is based on the resource consumption for servicing an object or the value of the object. Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “Pricing Element” is selected as “Labour” or “Other Resources”.
Leave this field blank if the “External Repair” is selected as the “Pricing Element”. |
Cons. UOM |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the unit of measurement in terms of the time consumed by the resource to service an object. Data entry in this field is mandatory if “Based on consumption” is selected as the “Resource Limit”.
Leave this field blank if “Based on Value” is selected as the “Resource Limit”. |
Resource Limit – Value |
The value of the resource used for servicing an object. Data entry in this field is mandatory if:
Ensure that the value entered in this field is a positive value. |
Est. Req.? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether estimation is required for the resource pricing caps. The system lists the options “Yes” and “No”. |
Notes |
A textual description of the limit on the resource pricing for the given effectivity code. |
Click the “Save Resource Pricing Caps” pushbutton to save the resource pricing caps details to the contract.
Note: The system allows modifications to be made only in those contracts with status other than “Confirmed", "Closed", "Cancelled" or "Revised".
The system performs the following:
Allows modifications to be made only in those contracts with status other than “Confirmed", "Closed", "Cancelled" or "Revised".
Updates the modifications made to the “Res. Pricing Caps” details against the same Contract # / Rev # before its approval.
Generates an incremental revision number and saves all the revisions made against the generated revision number and contract number for approved contracts.
4 The “Pricing Basis” drop-down list box must be selected as “T & M” or “T & M (in excess of limit).in the “Part Effectivity” and “Aircraft Effectivity” tabs of the “Manage Sale Contract” activity of the current business component.
