Recording fixed pricing details
This section enables you to define the fixed price for the objects mentioned in the “Part Effectivity", "Aircraft Effectivity", "Standard Workscope" and "Inclusions & Exclusions tabs of the “Manage Customer Contract’ page.
Select the “Fixed Pricing” tab in the “Edit Pricing and Invoicing Details” page.
Enter the following fields:
Eff. Ref. |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the object for which standard and T& M pricing is defined. Data entry in this field is mandatory if any value is specified in a particular line in the multiline. The system lists the following options:

Eff. Ref. Code |
Use the drop-down list box to specify the code corresponding to the object effectivity reference. The system lists only those Eff. Re. Codes for which “Pricing Basis” is selected as “Fixed Price by Object” or “Fixed Price by WU” in the following tabs in the “Manage Sale Contract” activity of the current business component. “Part Effectivity" tab, "Aircraft Effectivity" tab, "Standard Workscope" tab and "Inclusions & Exclusions tab". Data entry in this field is mandatory if a value is specified in the “Eff. Ref.” field. Ensure that the code entered in this field is valid for the “Eff. Ref” specified. Note that this field cannot be modified while revising or editing the contract. By default the system leaves this field blank. |
Task # |
The number identifying the task for which you wish to define fixed price. Ensure that the number specified in this field is an “active and valid task number defined for the login OU in the “Maintenance Task” business component. Help facility available. |

The number identifying the WBS code for a given task. |
Enter the following fields in the multiline:
Primary Work Center |
The primary work center in which the task is executed for which you wish to define fixed pricing. Ensure that the number entered in this field is an active and valid primary work center number for the class “Execution” as defined in the “Create Work Center” activity of the “Work Center” business component. |
Exe. Work Center |
The place of the actual repair of the object for which you wish to define fixed pricing. Ensure that the value entered in this field is a active and valid execution work center number for the class “Execution” as defined in the “Create Work Center” activity of the “Work Center” business component Note that pricing definition cannot be defined for both Primary Work Center and Execution Work Center in the same line. |
Part # |
The number identifying the part for which you wish to define fixed price. Ensure that the number specified in this field is a valid part number as defined in the “Part Administration” business component. |
Mfr. Part # |
The number assigned to the part, by the manufacturer of the part for which you wish to record fixed price details. Mandatory. Ensure the following: The number specified in this field is a valid manufacturer part number as defined in the “Part Administration” business component. |
Mfr. # |
The number identifying the manufacturer for whom you wish to record fixed pricing details. Data entry in this field is mandatory if Mfr. Part # is the same for more than one internal part number. Ensure the following:

Covers Alternatives? |
Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the alternative of parts specified is also included for the fixed price. The system displays the options “Yes” and “No”. |
Price Defn. For? |
Indicates whether the fixed price is defined for the Customer Order main core / Work Order main core |
Price Multiplier |
Indicates whether the fixed price is defined per main core unit, which could be “Applicable” or “Not applicable”. |
UOM |
The unit of measurement for the part if the attribute type of the part is “Quantitative”. Help facility available |
Price For |
The quantity of the part for which the price is specified. |
Material Price |
The price incurred for using the material to service the object. Data entry in this field is mandatory if for the selected “Eff. Ref. Code”, ”Material Price” is selected as the “Fixed Price Defn. For” in the “Manage Sale Contract” page. Leave this field blank if for the selected “Eff. Ref. Code”, ”Labour Price” is selected as the “Fixed Price Defn. For” in the “Manage Sale Contract” page. |
Labour Price |
The price incurred on the labour hours used for servicing an object. Data entry in this field is mandatory if for the selected “Eff. Ref. Code”, ”Labour Price” is selected as the “Fixed Price Defn. For” in the “Manage Sale Contract” page. Leave this field blank if for the selected “Eff. Ref. Code”, ”Material Price” is selected as the “Fixed Price Defn. For” in the “Manage Sale Contract” page. |
Other Res. Price |
The price incurred on the use of other resource miscellaneous in nature, like for example extra oil used on servicing an object. |
Total Fixed Price |
The sum of the fixed cost incurred on material, labour and other resource used to service an object. The price specified in this field must be equal to the sum of the price specified in the “Material Price”, “Labour Price” and Other Res. Price” fields. Leave this field blank if for the selected “Eff. Ref. Code”, ”Material Price” is selected as the “Fixed Price Defn. For” in the “Manage Sale Contract” page. |
Note: If for a given effectivity reference code, ”Total Price” is selected as the “Fixed Price Defn. For” in the “Manage Sale Contract” page, a value must be entered in any of the following fields in the multiline, “Material Price”, “Labour Price”, “Other Res. Price” and “Total Fixed Price”.
Note: The fixed pricing combination.ie., Eff. Ref., Eff. Ref. Code, Task # , Part #, Primary Work Center (or) Exe.Work Center must be unique for a given row in the multiline

The system displays the following field:
Fixed Price Defn. for |
Indicates the fixed price aspect of the pricing basis, ie., whether the fixed price is on material, labour, other resources or the total. |
Enter the following fields:
Effective From |
The starting date from which the defined fixed price is effective for the given object effectivity Ensure that the date entered in this field is earlier than the date specified in the “Effective To” date. |
The system displays the following field:
Effective To |
The ending date up to which the defined fixed price is effective for the given object effectivity. |
Click the “Save Fixed Pricing” pushbutton to define fixed price for the contract object effectivity.
The system performs the following:
Updates the “Effective To” field with the “Effective To” date of the contract when the revision #0.
Updates the “Effective To” field with “Effective From” date field minus 1, with each of the revision made i.e when the “Effective From” date is modified.
Allows modifications to be made in the multiline only if the Revision # of the contract is in other than “Confirmed”, “Revised”, “Cancelled”, “Closed” or “Approved” status.
Updates the status of the Revision # to “Draft’ or “Fresh” if the Revision # is in “Returned” status on modification of data in the Sale Contract.
Saves all the Fixed Pricing details against the Contract # and Revision # generated.
Ensure that at least one record is available in the multiline if “Fixed Price” is specified as the “Pricing Basis” in the Part Effectivity" tab, "Aircraft Effectivity" tab, "Standard Workscope" tab and "Inclusions & Exclusions tab
