Basis

The basis upon which employees must be mapped to paysets. This basis, which was selected in the “Set Payroll Parameters” page, could be one of the following:

Payroll

Select the payroll under which paysets must be mapped to employees on a specific basis.

Payset Code

You can enter any other payset code, if required

Code

Enter the specific code of the grade / grade set / employment unit / job / business unit based on which employees must be mapped to the payset.

Example: The “Basis” field displays “Grade set”, and the multiline “Payset Code” field displays “Payset-Exec”.

 In the “Code” field, enter “Excec”, to indicate that all employees whose grade set is “Exec” must be mapped to the payset “Payset-Exec”.

Violation Allowed

Check this box, to indicate that violations are allowed for a specific payset-grade mapping. The system will allow manual mapping of an employee to a different payset to prevail over the basis on which the system maps employees to a payset.

Leave this box unchecked, to indicate that the system’s mapping of the employee to a payset cannot be overwritten. 

Payset Description

The description of each payset code that appears when you select the payroll.

If you edit the “Payset Code“ field, the payroll description is updated in this field after you select the “Save” pushbutton.

Description

If you select the “Code” using the help icon, the system displays the description.

If you enter the “Code” field manually, the description of the code is updated in this field after you select the “Save” pushbutton
