Employee Pay Element Value - An overview

The pay element values are set at the payset.  If changes are to be made for certain employees then the Employee Pay Element Value component is used.  This component is therefore used to define exceptional values and not a generic one.  

This component allows you to set and view the recurring and non-recurring pay element values through the following activities that are briefly explained below.

Setting non-recurring values – element wise

This activity is used set the rule or amount of the pay element for selected employees. The pay element value that is set for the employee through this activity will override the pay element value defined for the payset to which the employee is mapped. During payroll processing, the system will take the value specified for the employee in this activity.  This activity is similar to Setting non-recurring values – employee wise activity, except that the data entry here is element wise.

This activity is used to set the rule or amount of the pay element for selected employees. The pay element value that is set for the employee through this activity will override the pay element value defined for the payset to which the employee is mapped. This activity is used to select a non-recurring pay element within a payset, and view the different values specified for this pay element for different employees mapped to a specific payset.  The user can view the values defined in this component only and cannot view the values set at the payset level.  

Viewing non-recurring pay element values – employee-wise

This activity is used to select an employee and view the details of those non-recurring pay elements whose values have been redefined for the employee.

Viewing recurring values – element-wise

This activity is used to select a recurring pay element within a payset, and view the different values specified for this pay element for different employees mapped to a specific payset.  The user can view the values defined in this component only and cannot view the values set at the payset level.

Viewing recurring values – employee-wise

This activity is used to select an employee and view the details of those recurring pay elements whose values have been redefined for the employee.
