Set Employee Element Values - Bulk
Select the “Set Employee Element Values - Bulk” link under the “Employee Pay Element Value” business component.
The “Set Employee Element Values - Bulk” page appears.
The system displays the following:
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. |
Enter the following details:
Employee - Element Data Unit |
From the drop-down list box, select the organization unit for which the pay element value for an employee must be specified. |
Payroll |
From the drop-down list box, select the required payroll for the selected organization unit. The combo is loaded with all the payroll descriptions of those payrolls mapped to the selected OU and for which the login user has payroll permissions. |
Enter the following details in the “Search Criteria” group box:
Payset |
From drop-down list box, select a payset by which you want to retrieve the employee element value. The combo is loaded with all the payset descriptions of those paysets mapped to the selected payroll and for which the login user has payset permissions. |
Pay Element Code |
To view all the pay element codes containing specific characters, enter the starting characters of a pay element. Note that the pay element you finally select must be one that was defined as “recurring” in the “Define Pay Element” page. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. For example if you enter the characters HO0*, the system displays all the pay element records whose pay element codes start with HO0. Other examples are H*0 and *00* |
Pay Element Description |
To view pay element records whose descriptions contain specific characters, type in the starting character/s of these characters or any combination with wild cards. For example, if you enter “*HO*”, the system displays all the pay element record descriptions starting with or containing the characters “HO”. |
Employee Code From |
The code of the employee from which you want to retrieve the employee element value details. |
Employee Code To |
The code of the employee until which you want to retrieve the employee element value details. |
Click the "Show Mapping" pushbutton.
The multiline displays all the employees currently mapped to the selected payroll and organization unit combination for whom direct entry values of pay elements exists either for a process period or for a range of process period for every payset.
Enter the following details in the “Employee Element Entry” multiline:

The description of the payset. |
Employee Code |
The code identifying the employee for whom the value of the recurring pay element is to be specified. |
The system displays the following in the “Employee Element Entry” multiline:
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Enter the following details in the “Employee Element Entry” multiline:
Assign. |
The number of the assignment held by the employee. |
Pay Element Code |
The code identifying the pay element. |
The system displays the following in the “Employee Element Entry” multiline:
Pay Element Description |
The description of the pay element code. |
Enter the following details in the “Employee Element Entry” multiline:
Amount |
The pay element value to be specified in terms of a specific amount. |
Rule |
The value of the pay element to be determined by a rule. |
From Process Period |
The process period from which the pay element value is effective. |
To Process Period |
The process period until which the pay element value is effective. |
Remarks |
Any remarks or comments regarding recurring pay element of an employee. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton to save the employee element values.
