How to use the web page

Using online help

Through this activity, you can generate Intermittent FMLA applications. For an employee and leave type combination, you can specify the leave reason, starting date, ending date, starting time, leave duration and generate the intermittent leave application. You can also modify the existing leave application. The leave balances are updated based on the last intermittent leave application. Stage tracking is applicable for all the intermittent leave applications.

The “Request for Intermittent FMLA” page appears.

Application Number

A unique number identifying the leave application. Mandatory.

Date Format

The date format applicable to the login user. (Display Only)

Employee

A unique code identifying the employee. Mandatory.

Employee Name

The name of the employee. (Display Only)

Leave Type

Use the drop-down list box to select the leave type. The combo is loaded with the reasons mapped for the leave type. The system displays “Select” by default on launch of the page. Mandatory.

Leave Application

The date on which the application is created.

Status

The status of the leave application. (Display Only)

Leave Reason

From the drop-down list box, select the reason for which the leave has been applied. The combo is loaded with the leave reasons mapped for the leave type. Mandatory.

Starting Date

The date on which the employee wants the leave. Mandatory.

Leave Year

The leave calendar period corresponding to the Leave Start Date. (Display Only)

Balance

The balance units that the employee can avail, of the selected leave type.

Ending Date

The ending date of the employee’s leave. Mandatory.

Starting Time

The time from which the employee require the leave.

Leave Duration

Use the drop-down list box to select the leave duration. The combo is loaded with “Days” and “Hours”. The system displays “Select” by default on launch of the page.

Every

Use the drop-down list box to select the frequency of the duration. The combo is loaded with “Day”, “Week”, “Month” and “Quarter”. The system displays “Select” by default on launch of the page.

Based on the leave duration specification the system generates the leave application.

The system updates the leave balance once the last leave application corresponding to the leave duration has been generated.

Leave Application Number

A unique number identifying the leave application. (Display Only).

Leave From Date

The starting date range from which the employee wants the leave.

Leave From Time

The time from which the employee require the leave.

Leave To Date

The ending date range until which the employee wants the leave. This should be greater than or equal to the Leave From Date.

Leave To Time

The time until which the employee require the leave.

Total Leave

The total number of leave availed by the employee.

Units

The number of units of the leave.

Reason

Use the drop-down list box to select the leave reason. The combo is loaded with all the reason codes mapped to the leave type. The system displays “Select” by default on launch of the page.

Remarks

Any remarks pertaining to the leave reason.

Status

The status of the leave application.

Note: The Paid Time Off balances must be exhausted before applying for FMLA. The Leave Reason should be selected as “Qualifying for FMLA”.

The system updates the date in the Notification Stage multiline.

Note: The application should be saved before submitting.

Notification Stages

Indicates the notification stage from the Leave Parameter activity.

Acted On

The date on which the leave application taken for processing.

Action Recorded On

The date on which the leave application was processed.

Notice Requirements are Met

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether or not the notice requirement are met. The combo is loaded with “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “Select” by default on launch of the page.

If No, Reason

Indicates the reason if the notice requirements are not met.
