Selecting the employee whose leave application is to be edited
Select “Edit Leave Application” from the left pane.
The “Select Employee to Edit Leave Application " page appears.
The system displays the following field
Date Format |
The date format applicable to the login user. |
Enter the following
Leave Administration Unit |
The organization unit where the “Leave Administration” component is deployed. |
To select through Direct Entry
Use this method if you know the complete code of the employee.
Enter the code of the employee whose leave application details are to be edited, in the “Employee Code” field.
Enter the number of the leave application whose details are to be edited, in the “Application No” field.
Select the “Edit Leave Application” hyperlink.
The “Edit Leave Application” page appears.
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the Employee code, Employee name, Position title, Department description, Job title, Grade description or Level description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
Enter the following search criteria values, in one or more of the following fields.
Leave Type |
To view the leave applications of a specific leave type, select this leave type from the drop-down list box. For example, to view all the leave applications for the leave type “Casual Leave”, select “Casual Leave”, from the drop-down list box. |
Employee Name |
To view all employee names containing specific characters, type in the starting character/s of the employee names. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c* will search for those employee names that start with c. Other examples are *c, c*l, and *c*. |
Employee Code |
To view the employee codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the employee codes. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: c* will search for those employee codes that start with c. Other examples are *c, c and c*. |
Department Description |
To view all department description containing specific characters, type in the starting character/s of the department description. Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. |
Position Title |
To view the leave applications of employees whose position title starts with specific characters, type in the starting character/s of the position title. For example, if you enter “Manager East”, the system will list the leave applications of those employees whose position titles are “Manager East Coast” and “Manager Eastern Region”. |
Grade Description |
To view the leave applications of employees in a specific grade, type in the starting character/s of the grade description. |
Level Description |
To view the leave applications of employees in a specific level, type in the starting character/s of the level description. |
Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
Note: If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy this value. If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are applicable to the selected Leave Processing unit.
The following fields are displayed in the multiline for the records that satisfy your search criteria.
Application Number |
The leave application number that was automatically generated by the system in the “Apply For Leave” page, after the employee’s leave application details were entered. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. |
Leave Type |
The type of leave for which the leave application was created |
Position Title |
The title of the position held by the employee. |
Department |
The name of the department to which the employee belongs. |
Job Title |
The title of the job pertaining to the employee. |
Grade |
The grade to which the employee belongs. |
Level |
The level to which the employee belongs. |
Employee Code |
The code of the employee. |
Application Status |
The status of the leave application. It could be one of the following: "Draft", "Pending for Authorization - Create“, "Pending for Authorization - Alter“, "Pending for Authorization - Cancel“, "Authorized”, “Cancelled” or “Rejected”.. |
In the multiline, select the hyperlinked “Application Number” to enter the “Edit Leave Application” page.
Select the data hyperlink in the application number column from the “Select Employee to Edit Leave Application” page.
Select the hyperlinked “Application Number” to enter the “Edit Leave Application” page.
