Form 24 – A summary of the activity
This activity enables you to generate Form 24 report. It displays details of the annual return of “Salaries” under section 206 of Income tax Act.1961. You can view and print the report.
Output to the report: The following details are displayed in the report.
The tax deduction account number and permanent account number
Employer classification code
Name and address of the employer
Name of the person responsible for paying salary if not the employer
Address of the person responsible
Indicates whether the address of employer/person responsible fo paying the salary changed from the last return filed.
Details of the salary paid and tax deducted from the employees like employee name, address, the date from which he/she is employed during the financial year, salary paid, tax deducted.
Details of the tax deducted and paid to the credit of the Central Government like the amount deducted, transfer voucher number, date of transfer voucher.
A declaration stating that the details provided are true and correct as per records.
Input to the report: You are to specify the following details to generate the Form 24
The tax unit to which the employee is mapped
The tax year for which the Form 24 must be generated
You can also specify the display criteria in which the report must be viewed.
