Note: The process parameter “Reason for Correction” under Stock Correction category in the Set Inventory Process Parameters activity is set as ‘1 and, 2) if S/L Detail Link is “Applicable” . |
Check the box in the multiline, to mark a line number for editing certificate and parameter information or value details.
Click the “Edit Serial & Lot Details” pushbutton, to update the modified details.
Note: The system does not allow change of serial/lot details, if the part/component is a restricted part with a restriction code that has the process parameter “Allow Stock Correction” under the entity type Stock Restriction Code in the Define Process Entities activity set as 0/No during the restriction effective period. However, this process parameter does not impact system-generated stock corrections owing to PDC and PICC transactions.
If the Correction Basis is "General", Correction Type is "Quantity" or "Quantity & Value", Part Control Type is "Serial/Lot Controlled" and the Part Type is "Component", the system updates the certificate and parameter information for the new serial/lot controlled parts in the "Edit Certificate & Parameter Information" page, only if the “Parameter Update” is set as “Mandatory” in the “Create Component Record” activity of the “Aircraft” business component.
The system updates the document status to “Fresh” and to "Authorized" automatically, if “Authorization of Repair Receipt based Stock Correction Generated in Draft Status” is set as "Automatic on attaining Fresh” status in the “Logistics Common Master” business component, and all the Serial/ Lot details are specified for all the line items
For the parts with Expensing Policy set as “Core Value on Phase Out” in the “Maintain Planning Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component, the system ensures that the following:
The core value is specified for the part number and the serial number in the “Maintain Core Value” activity of the current business component.
The core value is lesser than or equal to the sum of the correction value and the current value.
The system updates the modified value in the “S/L Details Link” in the main page based on the following conditions:
a) If the correction type is “Quantity” or “Value”
b) If the correction type is “Quantity & Value”, the part is “Serial/Lot Controlled” and the valuation method is “LIFO” or “FIFO” or “Weighted Average”
c) If the correction type is “Quantity & Value”, the part is “Serial Controlled” or “Serial & Lot Controlled” and the valuation method is “Actual Costing”
The system calculates the “Correction Value” and the “Corrected Value” based on the following conditions:
If the correction type is “Quantity“, the part is “Serial Controlled” or “Serial / Lot Controlled” and the valuation method is “Actual Costing” then the correction value would be “Correction Quantity” * “Standard Cost” .
If the correction type is “Quantity“, the part is “Lot Controlled” and the valuation method is “Actual Costing”, and the correction quantity is positive, then the correction value would be “Correction Quantity” * “Standard Cost” and the corrected value would be the total of the “Correction Value” and the “Current Value”.
If the correction type is “Quantity” or “Quantity & Value”, the part is “Lot Controlled” and the valuation method is “Actual Costing” and the correction quantity is negative, then the correction value would be “Current Value” / “Current Quantity” * “Correction Quantity” and the corrected value would be the total of the “Correction Value” and the “Current Value”.
To proceed, carry out the following
Click the “Edit Certificate & Parameter Information” link at the bottom of the page, if you wish to correct the certificate and parameter details.
Click the “Edit Lot Value Details only for Actual Costing - Lot Controlled Parts” link to correct the valuation details for the parts of valuation method “Actual costing” and of control type “Lot controlled”.
Select the “Authorize Stock Correction” link to authorize the stock correction document.
Select the "Confirm Stock Correction” link to authorize the stock correction document.
Select the "Generate Part Barcode Label” link at the bottom of the page to generate barcode label for parts that you have selected in the “Serial / Lot Details” multiline.
Select the "View Allocated Quantity” link at the bottom of the page to view the details of the allocated quantity out of the available stock balance.
Define serial number and lot number details
Enter the “Correction Quantity”
Define serial number and lot number details
You can enter or modify a suitable serial number and lot number for a part if the correction type of the document is “Quantity” or “Quantity & Value” when the correction basis is “General”.
In the “Line # Details” group box, select the line number of the stock correction document, which contains the part for which you wish to enter/edit the serial or lot number details.
In the “Serial / Lot Details” multiline, enter the different manufacturer serial numbers and lot numbers, in the “Manufacturer Serial #” and “Manufacturer Lot #” fields.
Enter the “Correction Quantity”
The correction quantity of the part serial numbers / lot numbers can be entered. The correction quantity details can be entered, only if:
The correction basis of the document is “General” and the correction type is “Quantity” or “Quantity & Value” .
In the “Serial / Lot Information” multiline, enter the “Correction Quantity”.
The correction value of the part serial numbers can be entered. The correction value details can be entered, only if the correction type of the document is “Value” or “Quantity & Value”, valuation method is “Actual Costing” and the part is “Serial Controlled” or “Serial & Lot Controlled”.
In the “Serial / Lot Information” multiline, enter the “Correction value”.
Correcting the serial and lot number details of the part – An overview
This page allows you to enter the serial number and lot number details of the part based on the line number selected. Serial number and lot number details can be entered, only when the part numbers are serial number and/or lot number controlled. You can enter the correction quantity, if the correction type of the document is “Quantity” or “Quantity & Value”. You can enter the correction value, if the correction type of the document is “Quantity & Value” or “Value” and if the part valuation method is “Actual Costing” and if the part control type is “Serial Controlled” or “Serial & lot Controlled”.
The correction quantity is the difference between the actual physical stock quantity and the system stock quantity and the correction value is the total value of the correction quantity.
Calculation of “Correction Value” for the correction type "Quantity"
If the correction type is “Quantity “,the part is “Serial Controlled” or “Serial / Lot Controlled” and the valuation method is “Actual Costing” then the correction value would be “Correction Quantity” * “Standard Cost”.
If the correction type is “Quantity“, the part is “Lot Controlled” and the valuation method is “Actual Costing”, and the correction quantity is positive, then the correction value would be “Correction Quantity” * “Standard Cost”.
Note: The standard cost is retrieved from the “Maintain Planning Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component.
For the Correction type “Quantity”, If the part control type is "Lot Controlled" and the valuation method is "Actual Costing" and if the correction quantity is negative, the correction value is calculated as follows:
Correction Value = (Current Value / Current Quantity) * Correction Quantity
The “Corrected Value” is calculated using the formula:
Corrected Value = Current Value + Correction Value
Calculation of “Correction Value” for the correction type “Quantity & Value”
For the Correction type “Quantity & Value”, if the part control type is "Lot Controlled" and the valuation method is "Actual Costing" and if the correction quantity is negative, the correction value is calculated as follows:
Correction Value = (Current Value / Current Quantity) * Correction Quantity
The “Corrected Value” is calculated using the formula:
Corrected Value = Current Value + Correction Value
