Click the “Authorize Stock Correction” pushbutton, to authorize the selected stock correction document.
The system updates the status of the stock correction document to “Authorized”.
Note: 1) Stock Correction documents can be authorized only when no Issue or Receipt transaction has been raised for the Part # - Stock Status, in the mentioned Warehouse – Zone – Bin #. 2) The system does not allow stock correction, if the part/component is a restricted part with a restriction code that has the process parameter “Allow Stock Correction” under the entity type Stock Restriction Code in the Define Process Entities activity set as 0/No during the restriction effective period. However, this process parameter does not impact system-generated stock corrections owing to PDC and PICC transactions. (You can place restrictions on specific transactions of parts in the “Manage Part Restrictions” activity of Aircraft by associating a restriction code that does not allow these transactions during the period between Effective From and To dates. Restrictions placed on part # via the restriction code apply to all serial #s/lot #s of the part. Restrictions can also be placed on specific serial #/lot # or on a range of serial #s/lot #s of a part. Process parameters of restriction codes are defined in the “Set Process Parameters” page of “Define Process Entities” activity of Common Master.)
The system performs the following on clicking the “Authorize Stock Correction” pushbutton:
If the available part quantity reduces the “Min-Max Level” or the “Reorder Level”, the system automatically replenishes the part quantity.
If the warehouse that authorized the stock correction of parts is mapped to the 'Tech Records Queue - New Components' transaction, the system marks the corrected parts as pending for technical records update. This implies update of technical records including maintenance programs, parameter values and compliance information of corrected parts is mandatory before confirmation of the stock correction document.
The system validates if the Part Classification is allowed in the warehouse, based on the Part Classification mapped in the “Storage Administration” business component.
Note: If the Part Classification is set as “None” or not defined in the “Part Administration” business component, then the part is classified as Non-Repairable.
If the planning type of the prime part of the part to be replenished is "Reorder Level" and the "Reorder Activity” field is at warehouse level, the system generates the purchase order, purchase request or stock transfer document, based on the warehouse planning parameter defined in the “Storage Administration” business component. This is applicable, when the stock available for the direct alternate parts for the issued parts is equal to or less than the reorder level set for the prime part.
If the planning type of the prime part of the part to be replenished is "Min-Max Level" and the "Reorder Activity” field is at warehouse level, the system generates the purchase order, purchase request or stock transfer document, based on the planning details defined in the “Storage Administration” business component. This is applicable, when the stock available for the direct alternate parts for the issued parts is equal to or less than the min-max level set for the prime part.
If the planning type of the prime part of the part to be replenished is "Reorder Level" and the "Reorder Activity” field is at location level, the system generates the purchase order, purchase request or stock transfer document, based on the warehouse planning parameter defined in the “Part Administration” business component. This is applicable, when the stock reduces to the reorder level set for the prime part.
If the planning type of the prime part of the part to be replenished is "Min-Max Level" and the "Reorder Activity” field is at location level, the system generates the purchase order, purchase request or stock transfer document, based on the warehouse planning parameter defined in the “Part Administration” business component. This is applicable, when the stock reduces to the min-max level set for the prime part.
Note: The document number for the purchase order, purchase request or the material request, is generated based on the numbering type set in the “Set Options” activity of the “Stock Maintenance” business component.
Note: The purchase request generated for auto replenishment of the parts will be of type “Owned” and of priority “Normal”.
Note: For replenishment, the system considers only those parts:
Having “Replenishment Activity By” set to “Stock Transfer” in the “Part Administration” or “Storage Administration” business component.
Whose stock status attributes “Nettable” and “Ownership-Internal” are set as “Yes” in the “User Defined Stock Status” business component.
Whose stock status is the default internal stock status defined in the “User Defined Stock Status” business component.
For all the documents with negative correction quantity, the system credits the “Stock Account” and debits the “Account Code” for the CC usage and Account usage combination.
For all the documents with positive correction quantity, the system debits the “Stock Account” and credits the “Account Code” for the CC usage and Account usage combination.
Account posting (Debit/Credit) happens to the account code pertaining to CC usage/Account usage combination”. Account postings into the finance book of Group Company is carried out for parts owned by the group company for which stock valuation is mandatory, if “Enable Automatic Accounting for Inventory Transactions on behalf of Dest. Company” is set as "Yes" between the login and the Group Company in Finance Setup.
The system maintains the account code, analysis code and sub-analysis code for each line item.
The system updates the stock account details in the Finance Book only for those parts having Expense Type “Revenue”, with Stock Status Attributes “Ownership-Internal” and “Valuated” set to “Yes” in the “User Defined Stock Status” business component.
The system retrieves the Exchange Rate Type used for retrieving the Exchange Rate for the parallel base currency during inventory transaction, from the “Set Function Default” activity of the “Finance Book Processing” business component.
Note: The Exchange Rate is retrieved from the “Exchange Rate” business component, only if the parallel base currency is different from the base currency.
If the stock correction is positive and the “Correction Type” is “Quantity” then,
The system generates an issue document for the part that is added to inventory due to stock correction, if there is a “AOG” or “Normal” pending material request for the part, and updates the quantity details in the “Stock Demand Management” business component. If there is a pending material request of “Low” priority for the part, the system replenishes the stock level of the part in the “Stock Maintenance” business component and updates the quantity details in the “Material Request” business component.
Status of General/Maintenance stock transfer issues: If the parameter “Confirmation of General Issue generated during Receipt pegging to an Open MR”/”Confirmation of Maintenance Issue generated during Receipt pegging to an Open MR” under the category “Process Automation” in the Set Warehouse Process Parameters activity of the Storage Administration is ‘1’, if the status of General/Maintenance stock issues automatically generated to satisfy the Open General / Maintenance MRs will be in ‘Confirmed’ status. However, parameter “Confirmation of General Issue generated during Receipt pegging to an Open MR”/”Confirmation of Maintenance Issue generated during Receipt pegging to an Open MR” is ‘0’, the status of the stock issue is set as ‘Fresh’.
The system automatically generates the MMD reports for ‘Confirmed’ General/Maintenance issues, if the parameter “Print MMD for General Issue generated in Confirmed status during Receipt pegging to and open MR”/ “Print MMD for Maintenance Issue generated in Confirmed status during Receipt pegging to and open MR” under the category “Stock Management Report” in the Set Inventory Process Parameters is ‘1’.
Note: The system allocates parts against the material request in the order of “AOG” priority, “Normal” priority and “Low” priority.
Note: For “AOG” and “Normal” material requests, if the preferred condition of the requested part is available, then only those parts with the specified condition will be allocated.
For the parts with Expensing Policy set as “Core Value on Phase Out” in the “Maintain Planning Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component, and with stock status attribute “Ownership-Internal” set as “Yes” in the “User Defined Stock Status” business component, the system ensures that the core value is specified in the “Maintain Core Value” activity of the current business component.
For the parts with Expensing Policy set as “Core Value on Phase Out” in the “Maintain Planning Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component, the stock value for the part number and the serial number must be greater than the core value specified in the “Maintain Core Value” activity.
For the parts with Expensing Policy set as “Core Value on Phase Out” in the “Maintain Planning Information” activity of the “Part Administration” business component, and having stock status attribute as “Ownership-Internal”, the system updates the total value, variable value and the core value in the current business component, based on the Std. Core Value % specified in the “Maintain Additional Valuation Information” page of the “Part administration” component. This is applicable when new serial number is generated for the parts and when the stock is moved into the warehouse.
Note: For example, if the Std. Core Value % is specified as 20% and if the total value or the stock value of the part is 20,000, then the core value will be updated as 4000 (i.e. 20% of 20,000) and the variable value will be updated as 16000 (i.e. 20000-4000).
The system ensures the following for each part in the Opening Balance document:
The “Non-Stockable” field is set as “No” in the Part Administration component.
The “Rate” or “ Value” field is left blank or with “Zero”, if the “Expensing Policy” is set as “On Receipt” in the interacting “Part Administration” business component.
Serial # generation at Field base
For a new manufacturer serial # of a part inducted on confirmation of stock return in an offline area, the system generates serial # in the following way,
Generates serial # based on the numbering pattern defined for the Offline Area # under the numbering type that is associated with the transaction “Automatic Serial # Generation in Offline Area” in the Document Numbering Class component, if Serial # Logic for the part is “Automatic Generation”.
Sets the serial # to the manufacturer serial #, if Serial # Logic for the part is "Mfr. Serial #”.
Zero as correction value for parts with expensing policy as “On First Issue”
For unserviceable parts in Unserviceable warehouses, the system automatically sets the correction value as 0 under the following conditions:
Expensing policy is “On First Issue” for the part as defined in the Maintain Planning Information activity of Part Administration
Correction type is Quantity
Corrected qty is greater than stock qty
Process parameter “Unserviceable ‘Expense On First Issue’ parts added to stock by a "Qty" Correction as Zero” under category Stock Correction in the Set Inventory Process Parameters is ‘1’
Stock correction for Restricted parts
The system does not allow stock correction, if the part/component is a restricted part with a restriction code that has the process parameter “Allow Stock Correction” under the entity type Stock Restriction Code in the Define Process Entities activity set as 0/No during the restriction effective period.
To cancel stock correction document
Click the “Cancel Stock Correction” pushbutton, to cancel the selected stock correction document.
Note: You cannot cancel the stock correction document, if the Correction Basis is “Repair Receipt”.
The system updates the status of the stock correction document to “Cancelled”.
The system stores the login user ID and the server date along with the authorization or cancellation details.
