Managing engineering impact on customer contracts
Select the data hyperlink in the “Assessment #” column in the multiline of the “Select Documents for Processing” page.
The “Manage Engineering Impact for Customer Contracts” page appears.
Select the “Create” radio button to create new impact assessment document.
Select the “Edit/View” radio button to modify / view existing impact assessment document.
Enter the following details of the impact assessment document you want to modify / view
Impact Assessment # / Rev # |
The unique identifier of the impact assessment document and its revision number. Mandatory. The system displays all the details from the latest revision of the impact assessment document in the three tabs. |
The following detail for the impact assessment document is displayed.
Status |
The status of the impact assessment document – Fresh, Confirmed or Cancelled. |
Enter the following in the “Document Details” section.
Impact Summary |
An overview of the impact assessment of the engineering change on the part # - serial #. Mandatory. |
Impact Date |
The date of creation of the impact assessment document. |
Impact Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the impact category to which the impact assessment document belongs. The drop-down list box displays the Active quick codes defined under the quick code type “Impact Category” in the Create Quick Code / Edit Quick Code activity. |
The “Document Details” section displays the following:
Ref. Doc. Type |
The type of the reference document on the basis of which the impact assessment document is created. |
Ref. Doc. #/ Rev. # |
The reference document and the revision on which the basis of which the impact assessment document is created. |
Ref. Doc. Class |
The class to which the reference document belongs. |
Subject |
The theme / matter of the impact assessment document. |
Source Doc. Type |
The type of the source document for the impact assessment document. |
Mandatory / Reliability Impact? |
Indicates whether the execution of the engineering change is mandatory/ engineering change has any impact on component reliability. |
Select the “Impacted Component Info.” tab to record details of the component affected by the engineering change.
Select the “Assess Contract Impact” tab to evaluate the impact of the engineering change on the customer contracts.
Select the “Approvals” tab to view the approvals received by the impact assessment document.
Select the "Confirm" button to authorize the details.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to annul the impact assessment document.
The “Record Statistics” section displays the following:

The login user who created the impact assessment document. |
Created Date |
The date on which the login user created the impact assessment document. |
Last Modified by |
The login user who most recently modified the impact assessment document. |
Last Modified Date |
The date on which the login user most recently modified the impact assessment document. |
