Managing certificate applicability
Select the “Manage Certificate Applicability” link under the “Common Master” business component.
The “Manage Certificate Applicability” page appears.
Note: The "Manage Certificate Applicability" screen can be launched only if the process parameter ‘Validate Certificate Applicability before Issuing COM’ is set as ‘Yes’ in the “Define Process Entities” activity.
Enter the following in the Search Criteria:
Object Type |
Use the drop-down list and select the object type against which the certificate is valid. The system lists “Part #”, “Task #”, “Task Type”, “Stock Status”, “Repair Scheme #” and “Customer #”. The system displays “Part #” by default. |
Regulatory Authority |
Use the drop-down list box and select the Regulatory Authority. The system lists all the ‘Active’ Regulatory Authority Codes defined in the “Create Regulatory Authority Codes” activity. By default, the system displays “All”. |
Approved By Manufacturer |
The code identifying the manufacturer. You must specify the manufacturer, if the Object Type is selected as “Task #”. Help facility available. |
Status |
Use the drop-down list and select the mapping status as ‘Active’ or ‘Inactive’. |
Check the boxes in the ‘Certificate Type’ field:

Check one of the following boxes to select the certificate type for search. The system lists “All” along with all the ‘Active’ Certificate Types defined for Parts in the “Create Certificate Type” activity of the “Logistics Common Master” business component. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton:
Select the “Applicability List” tab to define applicability of the certificate.
Select the “Skill Code” tab to skill code required to issue certificates.
