This page allows you to generate the gates in a station. You can create the gates by specifying the gate prefix, station number, terminal number and number of gates available.
Select the “Generate Gate” link under the “Common Master” business component.
The “Generate Gate #” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Station – Gate Details” group box:

Gate Prefix |
The prefix to be used for generating the gate number (Alphanumeric, 6). Mandatory. |

Terminal # |
The number identifying the terminal in the station (Alphanumeric, 12). |
Enter the following field in the “Station – Gate Details” multiline:

Station # |
The number identifying the station (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. Ensure that the station number entered here is “Active” and is created for the “Station Type” set in the “Set Options” activity. Help facility available. |
The system displays the following field in the “Station – Gate Details multiline:

Station Name |
The name of the station. |
Enter the following field:

Terminal # |
The number identifying the terminal in the station (Alphanumeric, 12). |
Note: The terminal number cannot be duplicated for the same station number in the multiline.

No Of Gates |
The number of gates that are to be newly generated in the terminal (Integer). Data entry in this field is mandatory if the “Station #” is entered. |
The system displays the following:

Current Gate Count |
The existing number of gates (if any) for the terminal. |
Note: Ensure that at least one record is selected in the multiline.
To delete a record in the multiline, select the record and click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline.
Click the Delete icon in the tool bar above the multiline, to delete the records selected in the multiline.
Click the “Generate Gate” pushbutton to generate the gate.
The system generates the gate numbers based on the prefix set in the “Gate Prefix” field and the total number of gates currently available in the terminal.
The system stores the gate number against the terminal number entered in the multiline.
Note: If the terminal number is not entered in the multiline, the system considers the terminal number entered in the group box.
If the terminal number is not entered in the multiline and in the group box, the system generates and stores the gate number against the station number entered.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Maintain Gate #” link at the bottom of the page to maintain the gate details.
