Activating / Inactivating analysis and sub-analysis code
This page allows you to activate or inactivate the mapping existing between the analysis and the sub analysis code. You can carry out the search using the code identifying the analysis, the account code and sub analysis code. You can also search for the analysis by the status. You can activate the “Inactive” analysis / sub analysis codes and inactivate the “Activate” analysis / sub analysis codes.
Select the “Activate / Inactivate Analysis Codes” link under the “Account Based Budget” business component.
The “Activate / Inactivate Analysis and Sub Analysis Code” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box to search for analysis and sub-analysis codes that you want to activate or inactivate:
Analysis Code From |
The starting code in the range of analysis codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 5). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the analysis codes that are similar to the value entered here. |
If this field is left blank and the “To” field is entered, then the system retrieves all the analysis codes from the beginning till the analysis code specified in the “To” field. |

The ending code in the range of analysis codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 5). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the analysis codes that are similar to the value entered here. The code entered in this field must be after the code entered in the “Analysis Code From” field. |
If this field is left blank and the “Analysis Code From” field is entered, then the system retrieves all the analysis codes starting from the code specified in the “Analysis Code From” field. |

Account Code |
The code identifying the account to which the analysis / sub-analysis codes have been assigned (Alphanumeric, 32). You can enter the account code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the account codes that are is similar to the value entered here. |
Sub Analysis Code From |
The starting code in the range of sub-analysis codes that you want to retrieve (Alphanumeric, 5). You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the sub-analysis codes that are similar to the value entered here. |
If this field is left blank and the “To” field is entered, then the system retrieves all the sub-analysis code from the beginning till the sub-analysis code specified in the “To” field. |

If this field is left blank and the “Sub Analysis Code From” entered, then the system retrieves all the sub-analysis codes starting from the code specified in the “Sub Analysis Code From” field. |

Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the analysis / sub-analysis code combination that you want to retrieve. You can select from “Active”, "All" or “Inactive”. The system displays “Active” by default on launch of the page. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton to retrieve the analysis details.
The system retrieves the analysis details based on the search criteria entered.
Enter the following field:
Effective Date |
The date from which the analysis and sub-analysis code is active or inactive (Date Format). |
The system retrieves and displays the following in the “Analysis Details” multiline based on the search criteria entered:
Analysis Code |
The code identifying the analysis. |
Description |
The description of the analysis code. |
Sub Analysis Code |
The code identifying the sub-analysis. |
Description |
The description of the sub-analysis code. |
Status |
The status of the analysis and sub-analysis code combination. It could be “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Check the box in the “Select” column of the multiline to mark the analysis code and sub-analysis code that you want activate or inactivate
Click the “Activate Code” pushbutton to activate the combination of analysis code and sub-analysis code.
The system updates the status of the analysis / sub-analysis code combination as “Active”.
Note: You can inactivate only the combination of the analysis code and sub-analysis codes. The individual analysis codes and sub-analysis codes will continue to exist in the “Active” status.
Click the “Inactivate Code” pushbutton to inactivate the combination of analysis code and sub-analysis code..
The system updates the status of the analysis / sub-analysis code combination as “Inactive”.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “UnAssign Analysis Code” link at the bottom of the page to unmap the analysis code from the account code.
Select the “Activate / Inactivate Analysis Code” link at the bottom of the page to activate or inactivate the analysis code.
Select the “Activate / Inactivate SubAnalysis Code” link at the bottom of the page to activate or inactivate the sub analysis code.
