Create Analysis Code – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to define analysis codes and sub analysis codes. An analysis code helps in analyzing the financial performance of a company in a different dimension. The analysis codes are further sub-divided into sub-analysis codes for better analysis. A typical example of an analysis code would be “Travel”. You can create sub-analysis codes like “Domestic Travel”, “Foreign Travel”, “Hotel Expenses” or “Food Expenses”. An analysis code is later assigned to an account code so that the financial postings that are made in the account code are also posted in the analysis code.
This activity allows you to assign sub-analysis codes to analysis codes. You can also assign analysis codes to account codes.
