Report Configuration Default Values

This activity allows you to specify the environmental level report configuration details.

Select the “Report Configuration Component” link under the “Report Configuration” business component.

The “Report Configuration Default Values” page appears.

Enter the following details in the “Configuration Details” multiline:

Type	Use the drop-down list box to select the type for configuring the report. The combo is loaded with the defined report types. Refer More
Sub Type	From the predefined list of Allowed Sub Types, the required sub type can be given.
Allowed Sub Types	Based on the selection of the type, predefined allowed sub types are listed in the combo.
Name	The name of the additional parameter.
Old Value	The code identifying the applicable old value of the specified type.
New Value	If any new value has to be mapped to the type.
Allowed New Values	The allowed new values are provided based on the remarks defined for the type.
Remarks	The detailed description about the type and allowed sub types.

Note: Based on the selection of Type and Allowed Sub Types, Remarks and Allowed New Values column gets fetched. On changing the sub type value to reflect the changes press Enter key (UI task).

Click the “Save Configuration Details” pushbutton to save the configuration details.

To proceed do the following

Click “Custom Report Launcher Definition” link from the bottom of the page to customize the report launch.

Click “Report Task Configuration Definition” link from the bottom of the page to define the task level report configuration details.

Click “Email Configuration Settings” link from the bottom of the page to specify the email configuration details.

Click “Report Default Configuration Definition” link from the bottom of the page to define the default report configuration details.

Type

Report Type:

This is required to specify the report engine that is used to launch at runtime. The following are the types of report engines that can be configured in virtual works.

Crystal Report Server
Crystal Report Developer
Decision Works

Based on the selection, New Value and Remarks column gets loaded.

Report Launcher:

Report Launcher is used to launch the report in default / customize RVW User Interface.

Main Report Parameter:

This report type is used to provide the parameter from this configured data and not from the service level data. It can also have many parameters with unique Parameter Name and Value.

Email Configuration:

If the user wants to send the report through mail then this type is enabled as YES. The allowed sub types are,

Attachment File Name - This configuration setting is used to specify the attachment file name and Valid file name with extension .pdf
Attachment Folder Path - This configuration setting is used to specify the temporary folder in which the report will be exported.
Bcc - This configuration setting is used to specify BCC details and valid email id's delimiter with comma or semicolon.
Body - This configuration setting is used to specify email message.
CC - This configuration setting is used to specify the recipients cc details and valid email id's delimiter with comma or semicolon.
Email Key - This configuration setting is used to specify Email Key using which the mail will be send. To define Email key please refer Email configuration section.
Required - This configuration setting is used to enable email option.
Subject - This configuration setting is used to specify the subject of the mail.
To - This configuration setting is used to specify the email recipient details and valid email id's delimiter with comma or semicolon.

Replace Paper Size:

This type is used to set the default paper size to required size for viewing the report. In the New Value section the required paper size format has to be provided. For example if the report designed with paper size A4 can be viewed in paper size letter by providing the configuration values.

Fax Configuration:

This parameter is enabled as YES if the user wants to send the report through Fax. The defined allowed sub types are,

· Attachment File Name - This configuration setting is used to specify the attachment file name and Valid file name with extension .pdf

· Attachment Folder path - This configuration setting is used to specify the temporary folder in which the report will be exported.

· Body - This configuration setting is used to specify message content of fax.

· Required - This configuration setting is used to enable email option.

· Subject - This configuration setting is used to specify the subject of the fax.

· To - This configuration setting is used to specify the fax recipient details and valid email id's delimiter with comma or semicolon.

Crystal Report Developer:

To enable Crystal report developer select the Type as “Report Type” and new value as “Crystal Report Developer”

Crystal Report Server:

To enable Crystal report server select the Type as “Report Type” and new value as “Crystal Report Server”. The following sub types are required to add Crystal Reports server settings.

· Report Server Name - This custom setting is used to specify the crystal report server name where CMS is available. The server name should be encrypted using VWEncryptDecrypt utility

· CMS Username - This custom setting is used to specify the crystal report server CMS user name. User Name should be encrypted using VWEncryptDecrypt utility

· CMS Password - This custom setting is used to specify the crystal report server CMS password. Password should be encrypted using VWEncryptDecrypt utility

· CMS Authentication Type - This custom setting is used to specify the crystal report server authentication type. The new value “secEnterprise“ should be provided.

· CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework version - This custom setting value is crystal server assembly version available in GAC.

· CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoStore version - This custom setting value is crystal server assembly version available in GAC.

· Ras Folder Name - This custom setting is used to specify the crystal report rpt deployed folder name (RAS folder name in CMS).

The remaining columns get fetched with the defined values based on the selection of allowed sub type.

Decision Works Report Configuration

To enable Decision works reports select the Type as “Report Type” and new value as one of the available below

1. Decision Works PDF - To launch the reports using “Decision Works Reports – PDF format”

2. Decision Works Excel - To launch the reports using “Decision Works Reports – Excel format”

3. Decision Works Text - To launch the reports using “Decision Works Reports – Text format”

4. Decision Works CSV - To launch the reports using “Decision Works Reports – CSV format”

5. Decision Works Viewer – To launch the reports using “Decision works reports viewer”

Sub Type “Report URL” is used to define the decision works reports report. This sub type contains names to define the configuration settings

1. Name as “Report Engine Url” in the New Value specify the decision works url. http://<webservername>/<dw virtual directory name> or http://localhost/<dw virtual directory name>

Please note : the new value should be specified only with intranet url

2. Name as “DWReturn url”, this configuration requires old value and new value.

a. In the old value virtual works url up to virtual directory needs to be specified.

b. In the new value decision works url up to virtual directory needs to be specified.

Please Note :

i. When internet virtual works url is used in old value then the decision works url should also be internet exposed url.

ii. When intranet virtual works url is used in old value then the decision works url should also be internet url.

Configuration settings for Crystal Report Developer

The following are the minimum configuration settings required to launch the reports using crystal report developer engine.

i. Select Type as “Report Type”, in the new value specify the value as “Crystal Report Developer”

ii. Select Type as “Report Launcher”, in the new value column specify the value “Default Launcher”

Configuration settings for Crystal Report Server

The following are the minimum configuration settings required to launch the reports using crystal report server engine.

i. Select Type as “Report Type”, in the new value specify the value as “Crystal Report Server”

ii. Select Type as “Report Launcher”, in the new value specify the value “Default Launcher”

iii. Select Type as “Crystal Server Configuration”, the following sub types needs to be provided

a. Report Server Name in the new value, encrypted CMS server name should be specified using VWEncryptDecrypt utility

b. CMS Username in the new value, encrypted CMS user name should be specified using VWEncryptDecrypt utility.

c. CMS Password in the new value, encrypted CMS password should be specified using VWEncryptDecrypt utility.

d. CMS Authentication Type in the new value specify “secEnterprise“.

e. CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework version in the new value specify CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.Framework, Version=<crystal assembly version>, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=<crystal public key token>

f. CrystalDecisions.Enterprise.InfoStore, Version=<crystal assembly version>, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=<crystal public key token>

g. Ras Folder Name in the new value specify the RAS folder name (deployed in CMS)

Please Note : <crystal assembly version> and <crystal public key token> should be replaced with corresponding assembly versions and public key value available in GAC (for that assembly name). If more than one assembly versions are available then latest one should be considered.

Configuration settings for Decision works Reports

The following are the minimum configuration settings required to launch the reports using crystal report server engine.

i. Select Type as “Report Type”, in the new value specify the value as “Decision Works Viewer”

ii. Select Type as “Report Launcher”, in the new value specify the value “Default Launcher”

iii. Select Type as “Decision Works Report Configuration”, specify sub type as “Report URL” and click on enter key (ui task),

a. In the name specify “Report Engine Url” and in the New Value specify the decision works url. http://<webservername>/<dw virtual directory name> or http://localhost/<dw virtual directory name>

Please note : Intranet url should be specified in new value.

b. In the name specify “DWReturn url” in the old value provide the virtual works application url (upto virtual directory) and in the new value specify the decision works url (up to virtual directory).

Application urls can be

http://localhost/<virtualdirectoryname>

http://<machineip>/<virtualdirectoryname>

http://machinename/<virtualdirectoryname>

http://<internet>/<virtualdirectoryname>

Please Note :

See to that the configuration specified for

Ø virtual works intranet url then decision works intranet url should be specified

Ø virtual works internet url then decision works internet url should be specified.
