Maintain Resource Request

This page allows you to create a request of resource for a project. You can specify the required resource details like role, designation, position, qualification, desired qualification, work location, work experience, grade, competency and proficiency details. You can raise RFH (Require for Hire) if internal resources are not available. You can authorize, reject and view an existing resource request details.

Procedure

To maintain resource request details

  1. To maintain resource request details, select Service Resource Planning Workforce Planning Maintain Resource Request from the Business Process menu.

  2. Choose Maintain from the Action combo.

  3. Choose an option from Numbering Type combo to specify the numbering type.

  4. Enter the Request ID of the resource request.

  5. In the Request Details section, enter the Project Code for which the resource is required. On Enter, the system displays the name of the client and currency of the project.

  6. Enter the code that identifies the Client. The system displays the name of the client.

  7. Choose an option from Department combo to specify the department for which the resource is required.

  8. Enter the Date on which the resource request is made.

Note: The requested date cannot be lesser than system date.

  1. Enter the Required By date by which the resource is required.

Note: Required By and Request Date cannot be the same. It should be greater than Request date.

  1. Enter the Code of the Requestor who requested the resource. On Enter, the system displays the name of the requestor.

  2. Enter the Reference ID of the resource request.

  3. Enter the code of the employee to whom the resource request is assigned. On Enter, the system displays the name of the assigned employee.

  4. In the Resource Details section, choose an option Designation/Position combo to specify the designation or the position of the required resource.

  5. Choose an option from Role/Job Description combo to specify the role and job description of the required resource. The system lists all the available roles and job descriptions as options.

  6. The system displays the role and job code of the required resource.

  7. Enter the Number of Resources required for the specified project.

  8. Enter the work Allocation of the resource in percentage. The system displays the Qualification based on the position chosen.

  9. Enter the Desired Qualification required for the resource.

  10. Enter the minimum years of experience required for the resource specified in years.

  11. Enter the maximum years of experience required for the resource specified in years.

  12. Choose an option from Work Location combo to specify the work location for which the resource is required.

  13. Choose an option from Request Type combo to specify the type of resource request. The system lists Addition and Replacement as options.

  14. Choose an option from Employee Type combo to specify the employment type of resource.

  15. Choose an option from Grade combo to specify the grade for which resource is required.

  16. Enter the date from which the resource is required.

Note: This date should be the same as specified in required by field in the header.

  1. Enter the date until which the resource is required.

  2. Choose an option from Billable combo to specify whether the project is billable or not. The system lists Yes or No as options.

  3. Choose an option from Site combo to specify the site of the project.

  4. The system displays the Status of the resource request details. The status may be Open, Closed, Cancelled or In Progress.

  5. Enter the number of resource required to be Hired, if the sourcing is selected as External. This number should not exceed the number of resources.

  6. Choose an option from Sourcing combo to specify whether the resource sourcing is external or internal. The system lists External and Internal as options.

  7. Enter the code of the employee to whom the resource request is assigned. On Enter, the system displays the name of the Assigned employee. The system displays the RFH ID and Status if the resource is external or Allocation ID and Status if the resource is internal.

  8. Choose Yes from Cancel Request? combo to cancel the resource request. The system lists Yes as option.

  9. Choose an option from Cancellation Reason combo if the resource request is cancelled. The system lists the options as defined in the Maintain Attribute Master of SRP Masters Component.

  1. Enter the Remarks or Additional Remarks regarding the resource request details.

  2. Click Save to save the resource details.

  3. In the Position Competency Details section, choose an option from Line No combo to specify the line of the request.

  4. In the multiline, choose an option from Proficiency Level combo to specify the proficiency level of the required resource.

  5. Choose Yes or No from Mandatory? combo to specify whether the proficiency level is mandatory or not. The system lists Yes and No as options.

  6. Enter the Remarks regarding the resource competency and proficiency details.

  7. Click Proficiency link to view the proficiency details of the resource.

  8. Click Submit to save the resource request details.

  9. Click RFH to request for hire if the sourcing is External.

  10. In the Optional Links section, choose an option from the Optional Links combo to view the optional links available. The system lists all the available links.

  11. The system displays the Data History details.

To authorize resource request details

  1.  To authorize resource request details, select Service Resource Planning Workforce Planning Maintain Resource Request from the Business Process menu.

  2. Choose Authorize from the Action combo.

  3. Enter the Request ID of the resource request for authorization.

The system retrieves and displays the request details, resource details and position competency details. Make required modifications to the data displayed. Refer Fields in this Screen topic for an explanation of the fields displayed.

  1. Click the Submit to authorize the resource request details.

To reject resource request details

  1. To reject resource request details, select Service Resource Planning Workforce Planning Maintain Resource Request from the Business Process menu.

  2. Choose Reject from the Action combo.

  3. Enter the Request ID of the resource request for rejection.

The system retrieves and displays the request details, resource details and position competency details. Make required modifications to the data displayed. Refer Fields in this Screen topic for an explanation of the fields displayed.

  1. Click the Submit to reject the resource request details.

Note: The system rejects the resource request details. You can reject a resource request until the generation of Allocation/RFH ID.

To cancel resource request details

  1. To cancel resource request details, select Service Resource Planning Workforce Planning Maintain Resource Request from the Business Process menu.

  2. Choose Maintain from the Action combo.

  3. Enter the Request ID of the resource request for cancellation.

The system retrieves and displays the request details, resource details and position competency details. Refer Fields in this Screen topic for an explanation of the fields displayed.

  1. Choose Yes from Cancel Request? combo to cancel the resource request.

  2. Click the Submit to cancel the resource request details.

To view resource request details

  1. To view resource request details, select Service Resource Planning Workforce Planning Maintain Resource Request from the Business Process menu.

  2. Choose View from the Action combo.

The system retrieves and displays the request details, resource details and position competency details. Refer Fields in this Screen topic for an explanation of the fields displayed.
