Resource Availability

This page allows you to search for requested resources and allocate based on the available resources. A resource can be reserved against multiple projects. Hard allocation and resource reservation options are available. You can search the resource details based on the search criteria details like role, designation, work experience, qualification, grade, competency and proficiency. You can specify whether the resource is allocated fully or partially.

Procedure

To allocate resource availability details

  1. To allocate resource availability details, select Service Resource Planning Workforce Planning Resource Availability from the Business Process menu.

  2. Choose Allocate from the Action combo.

  3. Enter the Request ID of the resource request.

  4. Choose an option from Line No combo to specify the line number of the resource.

  5. In the Request Search section, enter the Code that identifies the employee who is available for allocation.

  6. Enter the Type of employee to be retrieved for allocation.

  7. Choose an option from Vertical combo to specify the vertical to which the employee belongs.

  8. Choose an option from Department combo to specify the department of the employee.

  9. Select the checkbox against Show Reserved to view the reserved employees.

Note: You can reserve them for multiple projects and finally you can hard allocate an employee for 100% allocation for only one project.  

  1. Choose an option from Role/Job Description combo to specify the role and job description of the required employee. The system lists all the available roles and job codes as options.

  2. Choose an option from Designation/Position combo to specify the designation or the position of the required employee.

  3. Choose an option from Grade combo to specify the grade of the employee to be retrieved for allocation.

  4. Choose an option from Qualification 1 combo to specify the first qualification of the employee required for allocation.

  5. Choose an option from Qualification 2 combo to specify the second qualification of the employee required for allocation.

  6. Choose an option from Qualification 3 combo to specify the third qualification of the employee required for allocation.

  7. Select the checkbox against Qualification 1 Mandatory? to specify whether first qualification of the employee is mandatory or not.

  8. Select the checkbox against Qualification 2 Mandatory? to specify whether second qualification of the employee is mandatory or not.

  9. Select the checkbox against Qualification 3 Mandatory? to specify whether third qualification of the employee is mandatory or not.

  10. Choose an option from Competency 1 combo to specify the first competency level of the employee required for allocation.

  11. Choose an option from Competency 2 combo to specify the second competency level of the employee required for allocation.

  12. Choose an option from Competency 3 combo to specify the third competency level of the employee required for allocation.

  13. Select the checkbox against Competency 1 Mandatory? to specify whether first competency level of the employee is mandatory or not.

  14. Select the checkbox against Competency 2 Mandatory? to specify whether second competency level of the employee is mandatory or not.

  15. Select the checkbox against Competency 3 Mandatory? to specify whether third competency level of the employee is mandatory or not.

  16. Choose an option from Competency 1 Proficiency combo to specify the first competent proficiency level of the employee required for allocation.

  17. Choose an option from Competency 2 Proficiency combo to specify the second competent proficiency level of the employee required for allocation.

  18. Choose an option from Competency 3 Proficiency combo to specify the third competent proficiency level of the employee required for allocation.

  19. Enter the Work Experience of the employee.

Note: The system retrieves the employees who has work experience equal to or greater than the entered work experience in the multiline.

  1. Enter the Work Location of the employee for resource allocation.

  2. Select the checkbox against Show only 100% Availability to check whether the required employee is 100 % available.

  3. Enter the date from which the employee is required.

  4. Enter the date until which the employee is required.

  5. Click Search to retrieve the resource details in the multiline.

  6. The system retrieves and displays Emp. Code, Employee Name, Employee Type, Department, Role/Job Description, Designation/Position, Work Location, Grade, From Date, To Date, % Availability/day, Date of Joining, Date of Separation, Pool Code and Employee Status.

  7. Select any row in the multiline for resource allocation.

  8. In the Allocation Details section, enter the Allocation Type of the resource.

  9. Enter the percentage of resource allocated for the project.

  10. Click Submit to allocate the resource details.

Note: On Submit, the system saves the resource details and generates the Allocation ID.

  1. The system displays the Allocation ID, Allocation Status, Resources Requested, Resources Allocated, Project Code, Project Name and Project Currency.

  2. The system displays the Data History details.
