Administering Dual Authentication
Select the “Administer Dual Authentication” link under the “Smart Card Interface” business component.
The “Administer Dual Authentication” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the Search Criteria group box to retrieve employees for whom you wish to grant dual authentication:
Employee # |
The code/ID of the employee. You can enter the code in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. The system retrieves those employees with codes similar to that you specify here. |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee. You can enter the name in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. The system retrieves those employees with names similar to that you specify here. |
Account Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the employee account. The drop-down list box displays the following: Active, Inactive and Locked. The system retrieves those employees whose account exists in the status that you select here. |
Employee Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the employee in the organization. The drop-down list box displays the following: Current and Separated. The search retrieves current or past employees based on the option you select here. |
Click the “Search” pushbutton.
On launch of the activity from the left pane, the multiline under “Reset PIN “displays the following details of entire employees in the organization. Alternatively, on search the multiline displays only those employee records that meet user-specified search criteria.
Note: Those records with Account Status as Locked and Employee Status as Current appear in RED in the multiline.
Employee # |
The code/ID of the employee mapped o the login user . |
Employee Name |
The name of the employee |
Account Status |
The account status of the employee, such as Active, Inactive or Locked. |
Employee Status |
The status of the employee, such as Current or Separated. |
In the multiline, enter the following for employees those who require reset of PIN or inactivating account.
Remarks |
Additional details of the employee. |
Click the “Reset PIN” pushbutton.
Note: You can reset PIN of the employee with Account Status = ‘Inactive’/’Locked’ and Employee Status = ‘Current’ or 'Separated'.
On reset of PIN, Account Status of the employee becomes ‘Active’ (from ‘Inactive’ or ‘Locked’).
Click the “Inactivate Account” pushbutton.
Note: The employee Account Status becomes ‘Inactive’.
Dual authentication procedure
During execution of tasks that require dual authentication, the “User Authentication” window opens up to display the following information:
Employee # |
The name of the employee. |

The name of the employee |
Enter the following login credentials for successful execution of the task.
Note: Based on Authentication Type set for the Application Group, Entity and Action combination in the “Configure Dual Authentication” activity, you are required to enter either Login Password or PIN or both to proceed with task signoff and Issue of CoM. See table
Login Password |
The Password for the Login User of Ramco Aviation. If Authentication Type is “Login Password” or “Login Password and PIN”, this field by default displays Password for the Login User of Ramco Aviation. |
PIN |
The PIN as allotted to the employee in the “Set/Change PIN” activity. If Authentication Type is “PIN” or “Login Password and PIN”, this field by default displays PIN for the employee in the organization. |
Click the “Save” pushbutton.
On successful authentication, the system executes the pushbutton task.
Dual User Authentication
