Copying product structure

This pop-up screen allows the user to copy the product structure details for a part. When the user tries to create a product structure and if similar product structure already exists in the system, user can use this pop-up screen to copy the product structure.

Select the “Copy Part” link in the “Manage Product Structure” page.

The “Copy Product Structure” pop-up screen appears.

Enter the following in the header:

Part #

The product Structure part from which you wish to copy the details.

Click the “Get” pushbutton to retrieve the product structure details.

The system displays the following in the multiline:

Part #	The product structure part number.
Part Description	The textual description of the product structure part.
Part Type	The part type of the product structure part.
Part Source	The source of the part, which could be “On Loan”, “From Pool”, “Exchanges”, “Make”, Subcontracting” or “Procurement”.
PS Class	The product structure class.
PS Category	The category of the product structure part.
Revision #	The revision number of the product structure part.
Lower Level Exists?	Indicates whether lower level exists for the part.
Effective From	The date from which the product structure revision is active.
Effective To	The date until the product structure revision is active.

Click the “Copy” pushbutton to copy the product structure details.
