Bulk OU Creation

This is the initial activity allows you to create the organization unit. You can specify the details of OU instance name, the address of the organization unit and any remarks pertaining to the creation of organization unit. You can fetch, modify and delete the existing organization unit details. While creating the organization unit, you can select the time zone details based on the region. You can also specify whether the daylight savings is there or not for the selected time zone.

Consider the following two conditions while setting the time zone,

The time zone cannot be modified, once the component and activities are mapped to the OU.
The time zone cannot be set for the existing mapped component – activity within the OU instance.
Select the “Organization Unit Instance Details” link under the “Implementation Process” business component.

The “Bulk OU Creation” page appears.

- Clicking this icon available near certain fields takes you to the help page of the respective field.

Enter the following details in the header:

OU Instance Name	A unique name of the organization unit by which you wish to retrieve the details for OU (Organization Unit) creation.
OU Instance Desc.	The description of the organization unit by which you wish to retrieve the details for OU (Organization Unit) creation.

To fetch the OU Instance details

Click the “Fetch OU Instance Details” pushbutton to fetch all organization unit details in the multiline.

The system displays the following in the multiline.

OU Instance ID

A unique identification number of the organization unit. Auto generated.

Enter the following details in the multiline:

OU Instance	A unique name of the organization unit which is to be created. Mandatory.
OU Instance Desc.	The detailed name of organization unit. Mandatory.
Address	The address of the organization unit. Mandatory.
Remarks	Any remarks pertaining to the creation of organization unit.
Timezone & offset	Use the drop-down list box to select the time zone and offset for the organization unit. The combo is loaded with all regions time zone. The system displays “Select” by default on launch of the page.
Daylight Savings	Use the drop-down list box to specify whether the daylight savings is there or not for the selected time zone. The combo is loaded with “Yes” and “No”. The system displays “No” by default on launch of the page.
DST Start Date – Time	The start date and time of the daylight savings. Mandatory when “Daylight Savings” is selected as “Yes”.
DST End Date – Time	The end date and time of the daylight savings. Mandatory when “Daylight Savings” is selected as “Yes”.
DST Offset	The offset value set for the daylight savings.

Note: The offset value shows the difference between DST Start Date – Time and DST End Date – Time. It should start with ‘+’ / ‘-‘followed by the values along with the intermediate symbol ‘:’.

For example: The offset value is “+/-16:30”

To save the OU Instance details

Note:

1. The time zone cannot be modified, once the component and activities are mapped to the OU.

2. The time zone cannot be set for the existing mapped component – activity within the OU instance.

Click the “Save OU Instance Details” pushbutton to save the organization unit details.

The system updates the details of the organization units.
