Select postal service area to view
Select "View Postal Service Area" from the left pane.
The "Select Postal Service Area To View" page appears.
The system displays the following fields.
Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. If the user does not define the date format, the system displays the date format applicable to the Organization unit, which is defined in the “Enterprise Modeller Company Definitions |
Select the following
Benefits General Info. Unit |
From the drop-down list box select the organization unit from for which the postal service area details are to be viewed. From the drop-down list box select the organization unit for which details of the postal service area are to be viewed. |

The drop-down list box displays all the organization units in which the Benefits General Information component has been deployed and interacts with the login organization unit. |
Select the postal service code/name, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
To select through Direct Entry
Use this method if you know the complete code of the service area.
Enter the code of the service are that must viewed, in the “Service Area Code” field.
Select the “View Postal Service Area ” hyperlink.
The “View Postal Service Area” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the service area code or the service area description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that service area code or descriptions contain. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Code |
To view the service area codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the service area codes. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. |

Example, SAC1*, will search for those service area codes that start with SAC1. Other examples are *SAC1, S*1 and SLC* |
Service Area Long Description |
To view all service area long descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character/s of the short description. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. |

Example, service code*, will search for those service area long descriptions that start with service code*. Other examples are *Ser, SER*, and *SER* |
Service Area Short Description |
To view all service area short descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character/s of the short description. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. |

Example, sercod*, will search for those service area short descriptions that start with sercod*,. Other examples are *Ser, SER*, and *SER* |
Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
Note:
If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the
records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected postal service area.
The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the service area records that satisfy the search criteria specified.
Code |
The unique code that identifies the service area. |
Short Description |
A brief description of the service area. |
Description |
The complete description of the service area. |
From the multiline, select the record that must be viewed, by checking beside the record in the “Select” column.
Select the “View Postal Service Area” hyperlink.
The “View Postal Service Area” page appears.
