Selecting a postal service area to edit
Select the "Edit Postal Service Area" link from the left pane.
The "Select Postal Service Area To Edit " page appears.
The system displays the following fields
Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. If the user does not define the date format, the system displays the date format applicable to the organization unit that is defined in the “Enterprise Modeller Company Definitions” |
Benefit General Info Unit |
The name of the organization in which the benefit set up unit has been deployed. |

From the drop-down list box select the organization unit for which details of the postal service area is to be modified. The drop-down list box displays all the organization units in which the Benefits General Information component has been deployed and interacts with the login organization unit |
Select a postal service area, either through the “Direct Entry” group box or through the “Search Criteria” group box.
To select through direct entry
Use this method if you know the complete code of the service area code.
Enter the code of the service area that must be modified or deleted, in the “Service Area Code” field.
Select the “Edit Postal Service Area ” hyperlink.
The “Edit Postal Service Area” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
To edit the postal service are refer to the topic “Editing the Service Area”.
To select through search criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the Service area code or the service area short description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the service area code or short descriptions contain. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Service Area Code |
To view the service area codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character(s) of the service area codes. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, SPSA01*, will search for those service area codes that start with SPSA01. Other examples are *SPSA01, S*1 and A01* |
Service Area Short Description |
To view all service area short descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character/s of the short description. |

Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example, Servcd*, will search for those service area short descriptions that start with Sercd*. Other examples are *Ser, ser*d, and *ser* |
Service Area Description |
To view all service area descriptions containing specific characters, type in the starting character/s of the description. |

Select the “ Search” pushbutton.
Note:
If only one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the
records that satisfy this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
applicable to the selected holiday master.
The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the service area records that satisfy the search criteria specified.

From the multiline, select the record that must be modified, by checking beside the record in the “Select” column.
Select the “Edit Postal Service Area ” hyperlink.
The “Edit Postal Service Area” page appears.
