Select the "Create Premium Period" link from the left pane.
The "Create Premium Period" page appears.
The system displays the following fields.
Date Format |
The date that is applicable to the login user. |

If the user does not define the date format, the system will display the date format applicable to the Organization Unit; this date format is predefined in the “Enterprise Modeller Company Definitions” |
Select the following
Benefits General Info Unit |
From the drop-down list box select the organization unit from for which the details of premium period must be defined. The drop-down list box displays all the organization units in which the Benefits General Information component has been deployed and interacts with the login organization unit. |
Benefit Year Description |
From the drop-down list box select the benefit year for which premium periods are to be defined. The drop-down list box will display all the benefit years defined in the “Create Benefit Year” activity. |
Premium Frequency |
From the drop-down list box select the frequency in which the premium periods is to be defined. You must select one among the following values viz. “Daily”, “Weekly”, “Biweekly”, “Semimonthly”, “Monthly”, "Quarterly", "Semiannually" and “Yearly”. |
Enter the following fields.
Short Description |
A brief description to identify the premium period |
Long Description |
The full description of the premium period. |

For example, if you have identified the benefit code as “PRM002”, you can enter “PRMPD.” as the short description and “Premium Period” as the long description. |
From Date |
The date from which the premium period begins. |
To Date |
The date until which the premium period is effective. |
Select the “Save” pushbutton to create the new premium period(s).
After you select the “Save” pushbutton, the system generates the following field in the multiline.
Code |
System will generate a running number as code for the selected frequency to identify the premium period. |
