Editing Primary Participant Eligibility profile
Select the “Edit Eligibility Profile” link at the bottom of the page.
The “Editing Primary Participant Eligibility profile” page appears.
The system displays the following details and is not editable.
Date format |
The date format of the previous page. |
Benefits Eligibility Def. Unit |
The eligibility definition unit selected in the previous page. |
Eligibility Profile Code |
The unique code that identifies the eligibility profile. |
Edit any or all the following. The system will display the latest entered details.
Eligibility Short Description |
The short description of the eligibility profile. |
Eligibility Long Description |
The brief description of the eligibility profile |
Effective From |
The date from which the eligibility profile is effective. |
Effective To |
The date until which the eligibility profile is effective. |
Age |
By default the system will display with the latest entered values. The drop-down list box displays "Less than", "Greater Than”, and “Equal To” and " [N.A.] ". To indicate the age of the employee should be greater than, less than or equal to a certain age, select the required option from the drop-down list box and enter the age in the field beside. For example, to indicate the age as greater than 25, you must select “Greater Than” option from the drop-down list box, and enter 25 in the field beside. |
Date of Birth |
The drop-down list box displays "As on or before", "As on or after”, and “Equal to" and " [N.A.] ". To indicate the date of birth the employee should be as on, before or after a certain age, select the required option from the drop-down list box and enter the date in the field beside. For example, to indicate the person must be born as on or before 01 Jan 1970, you must select “As on or before” option from the drop-down list box, and enter the date 01 Jan 1970 in the date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Length of Service |
The period of service that the employee must have completed in the organization. The drop-down list box displays "Less than", "Greater Than”, and “Equal to" and "[N.A.] ". To indicate the length of service should be greater than, less than or equal to a certain period, select the required option from the drop-down list box and enter the period in the field beside. You must also select the unit of the period i.e. months or years from the second drop-down list box. By default the second drop-down list box displays two values viz., years and months. By default it will display with the latest selected value. For example, to indicate the length of service must be greater than 2 years, you must select “Greater Than” option from the first drop-down list box, enter 2 in the field beside and select “Year” option in the second drop-down list box. |
Reference Period |
Select the “Hire Date” option to indicate that the period of service starts from the hire date. Select the Rehire Date to indicate that the period of service starts with rehire date. |
Hire Date |
The date on which the employee has joined the organization. The drop-down list box displays "Less than", "Greater Than”, and “Equal to” and " [N.A.] ". To indicate the date of hire should be greater than, less than or equal to a certain date, select the required option from the drop-down list box and enter the date in the field beside. For example, to indicate the person joined before 01 Jan 2000, you must select “less than” option from the drop-down list box, and enter 01 Jan 2000 in the date format that is applicable to the login user. |
Employment Status |
To indicate if the employee is still employed in the organization or has been terminated etc., select the appropriate option from the drop-down list box. The drop-down list box displays list of all the options defined in the HRMS General Masters. Examples are "Current", "Separation" etc. |
FLSA |
The status of FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938) from the drop-down list box select “Exempt” to indicate that the employee is exempted from FLSA and select “Non-exempt” to indicate that the employee is not exempted in the FLSA. |
Union Affiliation |
From the drop-down list box select “Yes” to indicate that the employee must be affiliated to a union. Select “No” to indicate that the employee should not be affiliated to a union. Select " [N.A.] " to indicate that the union affiliation is not applicable for eligibility. |
Employer Reason |
The employer reason for separation. Examples, death, disability etc. The drop-down list box displays list of all the options defined in the quick codes of HRMS General Masters. |
Marital Status |
The marital status of the employee. For ex. Married, divorced, etc. The drop-down list box displays list of all the options defined in the HRMS General Masters. |
Disability |
Disability refers to the details of the physical disability of an employee which prevent or hinder undertaking certain types of assignments, either permanently or temporarily, depending on the extent of the disability which might be complete or partial. Examples are blind, deaf etc. The drop-down list box displays list of all the options defined in the quick codes of HRMS General Masters. Select " [N.A.] " to indicate that the disability is not applicable for eligibility. |
Employee Type |
To indicate if the employee is a regular employee or hired on contract basis etc. Select the appropriate option form the drop-down list box. The system lists the following values such as "Regular", "Contract", "Consultant" "Volunteer" etc. The drop-down list box displays list of all the options defined in the HRMS General Masters. |
Service Area Description |
The drop-down list box displays list of all the options defined in the “Create Postal Service Area” activity of Benefits General Information component. |
Benefit Association Code |
The unique code to identify a benefits association to which the employee must be enrolled. |
Zip |
Enter the zip code of the participant. |

Select “Correct” or “Update” from the drop-down list box. If you select |

New Effective From |
If the edit option you chose is “Update”, specify the date from which the current modification will be in effect. The system maintains the “Effective To Date” of the previous record to be one day less than the “New Effective From” date. |
Select the following from the “Applicable To” drop-down list box.
Applicable To |
Choose the organizational units to which the modified eligibility profile details will be made available. The options in the drop-down list box are described below

You can enter opinions, comments and other details if any, in the “Comments” field.
You can also view these details, if they were entered previously select the book icon. The system displays a pop up dialogue box containing the content that has been entered previously.
You can enter, modify or delete the content.
Select the “Ok” pushbutton in the dialog box to save the details entered.
Select the “Cancel” pushbutton to return to the page with saving the details.
In the main page, select the “Save” pushbutton to save the details entered.
By default, the system displays the latest history of the eligibility profile record.
Click the “Previous” pushbutton besides the “Data Access History” label, to view the previous change that has been made.
Click the “Next” pushbutton besides the “Access Data History” label, to view the next change of eligibility profile record with the effective dates.
Note: When you click “Previous”, the system will display the previous record in the database, provided you had chosen “Update” in the “Edit Option” drop-down list box while you edited.
If there is only one value, the page will be refreshed with this current value only.
Select the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the eligibility profile record from the database. An eligibility profile can be deleted only if it has not been used anywhere.
