Selecting a benefit plan for view
Select the “View Benefit Plan” hyperlink from the left pane.
The “Select Benefit Plan for View” page appears.
The system displays the following.

Select the organization unit in which you must view benefits plan details. The drop-down list box displays all the organization units where you have permission to view benefits plan. Tell me more |

To select through Direct Entry
Use this method if you know the complete code of the plan type code.
Enter the code of the plan that must be viewed, in the “Plan Code” field.
Select the “View Plan” hyperlink.
The “View Plan” page appears. All details of the selected record are displayed.
To view the plan record refers to the topic “Viewing the Plan”.
To select through Search Criteria
Use this method, if you know just a few characters of the plan code or the plan description. In the search criteria group box, specify the search criteria based on which the system will fetch the records.
To specify the search criteria, you must enter one or more characters that the plan code or description contain. Optionally, you can specify the “Plan category”, “Effective From Date” and “Effective To Date” fields, to narrow your search. You can also specify the provider code or the status of the plan based on which the system will fetch the records. Search based on wild card characters is also supported.
Enter the following search criteria values, in some or all of the following fields.
Plan Code |
The unique code that identifies a plan. To view all the plan codes containing specific characters, type in the starting character or characters of these plan codes. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: Plan1*, will search for those employee codes that start with Plan1. Other examples are *AN1 and PL*N1. | |
Plan Short Description |
The description of the plans. To view all the plan descriptions containing specific characters type in the starting character or characters of the plan descriptions. |
Alternatively, type in these characters in any combination with wild cards. Example: Exe*, will search for those plan descriptions that start with Exec. Other examples are *ec and Ex*c. | |
Plan Description |
The long description of the plans. To view all the plan descriptions containing specific characters type in the starting character or characters of the plan type descriptions. |

Plan Category |
From the drop-down list box select the plan category to which the plan is mapped. |
Use the fields below to specify dates to indicate the probable period for which the plan is effective.
Effective From Date |
The date on or after which the plan is in effect. For example, if you enter 09/16/01, the system fetches the records of all the plan that are effective from the specified date. |
Effective To Date |
The date on or before which the plan is in effect. For example, if you enter 09/16/01, the system fetches the records of all the plan that will be in effect till the specified date. |
Note: To indicate the probable period for which the plan is effective, enter both the From and To dates. The system fetches the records of all the plans that are effective during the period.
Provider Code |
Specify the code of the provider who provides services for the plan. |
Status |
From the drop-down list box select the status of the plan. |
Select the “Search” pushbutton to save the details.
Note: If only one search
criteria value is entered, the system will fetch the records that satisfy
this value.
If more than one search criteria value is entered, the system will fetch
the records satisfying all the specified values.
If you do not enter any value in the search criteria group box and select
the “Search” pushbutton, the system will fetch all the records that are
definitions definition unit.
The system displays the following details in the multiline, for the records that satisfy the search criteria specified.
Plan Code |
The unique code that identifies the plan. |
Plan Short Description |
The short description of the plan. |
Plan Description |
A brief description of the plan. |
Plan Category |
The description of the plan category to which the plan is mapped. |
Effective From Date |
The date from which the plan is in effect. |
Effective To Date |
The date until which the plan will be effective. |
Provider Code |
The code of the service provider of the plan. |
Status |
The status of the plan. One among the following will be displayed namely “Active”, “Inactive” and “Pending” |
