Date format

The date format applicable to the login user.

Benefits Definition Unit

 The benefits definition unit selected in the previous page. 

Program

The benefit program to which the selected benefit plan is mapped.

Plan Type

The plan type description to which the benefit plan is mapped.

Plan Code

The unique code that identifies a plan.

Plan Short Description

A short description of the plan.

Plan Description

A brief description of the plan.

Status

The status of the plan.

Plan Category

The category to which the plan is mapped.

Provider Code

The unique code identifying a provider.

Policy No

The policy number of the plan.

Effective From Date

The date from which the plan is effective.

Effective To Date

The date until which the plan is effective.

Currency

The currency in which the premium is paid.

Premium Basis

The basis on which the premium is computed. One of the two values are displayed namely “Rate Table” or “Rule”.

Rule

The rule name if the premium is computed by a rule.

Rate Table Code

The code of the rate table if the computation of premium is based on rate table.

To edit waiting period details of the plan

Waiting Period

The period for which a person has to wait to be eligible for enrolling in the selected plan.

Reference Period

Reference period is the condition based on which the waiting period is considered. One among the following is displayed namely “Hire Date”, “Retire Date”, “Confirmation Date”, “As On Date” etc. You can modify the same.

To edit eligibility criteria of the plan

Eligibility Profile Code

The unique code that identifies an eligibility profile and is mapped to the plan. This indicates that the employee has to satisfy the criteria defined in the specified eligibility profile to enroll in the plan

Primary Participant Eligibility Rule

The rule name that determines the eligibility of the primary participant for a plan.

Dependent Eligibility Profile code

The code of the dependent eligibility profile that has been mapped to the plan. This indicates that the employee has to satisfy the criteria defined in the specified eligibility profile to enroll in the plan

Dependent Eligibility Rule

The rule name that determines the eligibility of the dependent eligibility for the selected plan type.

To edit participation details of the plan

You can edit the participation details for the plan in the multiline. Participation details involve specifying the period for which participation in the plan is available, the period for which the plan is open for enrollment and the type of enrollment. The details entered earlier will get displayed. You can modify the same.

Participation From Date

The date from which the employee can participate in the plan.

Participation To Date

The date until which the employee can participate in the plan.

Enrollment Type

The type of enrollment that is applicable for the plan By default the system will display with blank value. The drop-down list box displays two values namely, “Open Enrollment “ and “Unrestricted” You must select one among them.

Open From Date

The date from which the plan is open for enrollment.

Open To Date

The date until which the plan is open for enrollment.

Note: If “Unrestricted” option is selected, the “Open From Date” and Open TO Date” fields must have blank values.

Edit contribution to element mapping

Employee

The pay element to which employee contribution is to be mapped.

Employer

The pay element to which the employer contribution is to be mapped.

Pre Closure of Enrollment Allowed

The system displays one of the two values “Yes” or “No”.  “Yes” indicates that you can close the enrollment before the predefined date. No indicates that the enrollment in the plan cannot be closed before the defined date.

Premium Override Allowed

The system displays one of the two values “Yes” or “No”.  “Yes” indicates that premium computed by the system can be overridden and you can specify the premium amount.

Life Event Driven Enrollment

The system displays one of the two values “Yes” or “No”.  “Yes” indicates that the enrollment in the plan is driven by life events. Life events can be marriage, death, birth, etc.

Full Flex

“Yes” indicates that the plan is full flex enabled and “No indicates otherwise. Full flex is the option given to the employee to enroll in various plans that suits his needs based on various contributions given by the employer.

Pre-tax

“Yes” indicates that the premium of the plan is deducted from the salary before it is computed for tax.

Imputed Income

Imputed income is the coverage limit beyond which the premium paid is taxable to the employee.  “Yes” indicates that the premium paid is dependent on the imputed income. “No” indicates that the premium paid is independent on imputed income.

Auto Enrollment

One among the following will be displayed namely “No”, “Only Auto enrollment”, “Auto/ Manual Enrollment.”

“No” indicates that the auto enrollment is not applicable to the plan i.e., the employee can enroll in the plan only through manual enrollment.

“Only Auto Enrollment” indicates that the employees are enrolled in the plans only through auto enrollment.

“Auto/ Manual Enrollment” indicates that the employee can enroll in a plan both by auto enrollment and by manual enrollment.

Employees Self Service Option

One among the following will be displayed namely “No”, “With Authorization”, and “Without Authorization”.

No” indicates the employee self-service option is not available for the plan.

 “With Authorization” indicates that the employees are enrolled in the plan only after the authorization of the enrollment is performed.

 “Without Authorization” option indicates that the employees can enroll directly through the employee self service option.

To edit mapping of various organization units

Applicable to

Select one of the three options available in the drop-down list box: “All Org. Units”, “Login Org. Units” or “Selective Org. Units”. If you select

 
  • “All Org. Units”, the benefit program will be made available to all organizational units of the group company.

 
  •   “Login Org. Units”, the benefit program record will be mapped to the organizational unit to which the login user is attached.

 
  •  “Selective Org. Units”, the benefit program record will be available only to specific organizational units.

 
  • “Existing Mapped Org. Units” refers to maintaining the most recent mapping of the applicable organization units
