Modifying cost center structure details – An overview
You can modify the details of a cost center structure that is in the “Active” status. You can include new cost centers in the structure at various levels. A cost center must be unique for the structure. This page allows you to carry out a search to retrieve cost centers that have to be included to the cost center structure.
This page also allows you to delete any level in the structure. The system deletes all the cost centers that fall below the selected level. However, you cannot delete all the cost centers at the top most level of the hierarchy. If you want to delete all the cost centers in the structure, you must include new cost centers and then subsequently delete the old ones. The system saves the modifications made to the cost center structure. The system also stores the login ID of the user and the system date along with the modified cost center details.
Cost Centers CC1, CC2 and CC3 are to be mapped to a group GCC1. The following could be the dates during which a cost center structure and the various cost centers are effective.
