This page allows you to modify the details of the cost element tree. You can include new nodes and cost elements to the tree. The system updates the new nodes in the cost element tree structure. This page also allows you to delete nodes. All the nodes and cost elements that fall under the selected note will also be removed from the tree. At least one node must be available in the tree when other nodes are being removed.
Select the “Edit Tree” link at the bottom of the “Edit Cost Element Structure” page.
The “Edit Tree” page appears.
The system displays the following:

Enter the following field:
Node |
Use the drop-down list box to select the node that you want to delete. All the descriptions of the nodes that have been defined for the cost element structure will be available for selection. |
Click the “Delete” pushbutton to delete the selected node.
The system removes the selected node along with the nodes and cost elements defined under it from the structure.
Modify the following fields if required in the “Node Definition” group box:

Use the drop-down list box to set the type of the node. You can select from “Element” or “Header”. |

Cost Element From |
The starting code in the range of cost element codes that you want to include in the structure (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. This field must be left blank if “Header” is selected in the “Type” field. This field must not be left blank if “Element” is selected in the “Type” field. |
Note: The code entered in this field must be before or the same as the code entered in the “To” field.

The ending code in the range of cost element codes that you want to include in the structure (Alphanumeric, 32). Mandatory. This field must be left blank if “Header” is selected in the “Type” field. This field must not be left blank if “Element” is selected in the “Type” field. |
Map To |
Use the drop-down list box to select the header to which cost elements must be mapped. The descriptions of all the headers that have been defined for the structure will be available for selection. The system displays “Blank” by default on launch of the page. |
Click the “Map” pushbutton to map the range of cost elements to a header.
The system maps the range of cost elements to the header node.
Click the “Edit Tree” pushbutton to save the modifications made to the tree structure.
The system saves the modifications made to the tree.
Click the “Edit Structure” pushbutton to save the modifications made to the cost element structure.
The system updates the node along with the default settings for printing, reversal and rounding off options required while printing the report in the cost element structure.
