Create Cost Center Structure – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to create a cost center structure. A cost center structure is defined at the business unit level of the organization structure. A cost center structure consists of a hierarchy of multiple cost centers. A Cost Center structure has a tree like formation. A structure would allow the aggregation and reporting of the balance at different levels. A structure can have multiple levels. You can create both “Default” and “Alternate” structures. There can be only one “Default” cost center structure for every MAC accounting period. A date range is also defined during which the cost center structure would be effective. If the cost center structure is selected as default then it becomes the default cost center structure for the date range. This activity also allows you to view a graphical representation of the cost center structure.
