Configuring Maintenance Execution Slots
This page allows you to define/ configure multiple slots for a work center.
Select the “Configure Maintenance Execution Slots” link under the “Work Center” business component.
The “Configure Maintenance Execution Slots” page appears.
Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box. Data entry in these fields is optional:
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center. The system loads the drop-down list box with all the “Active” work centers of Work Center Class “Execution”, defined in the “Work Center” business component. |
Work Center Description |
The textual description of the work center (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the "*" character. The system lists all the work centers whose descriptions are similar to the description entered here. |
Work Center Type |
Use the drop-down list box to select the type of the work center to be retrieved. The work center could be of type “Hangar”, “Bay”, “Shop”, “Line” or “Others”. The system retrieves the slot details of the type selected here. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Slot Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the slot to which the work center was associated in the ‘Create Quick Codes’ activity. The system lists all the quick codes of type ’Slot Category’ and of ‘Status’ “Active”. Leave the field blank to retrieve all work centers irrespective of the quick code association. The system leaves the field blank by default. |
Click the “Get Details” pushbutton to display the search results.
The system retrieves the following in the “Slot Details” multiline based on the filter criteria entered.
To record the slot details in the multiline
Enter the following in the “Slot Details” multiline:
Work Center # |
Use the drop-down list box to select the work center for which you require to configure the slot details. The system loads the drop-down list box with the work centers of “Active” status and of Work Center Class “Execution”. The system displays the first available work center of “Active” status as the default value. |
The system displays the following in the Slot Details” multiline upon selecting the work center:
Work Center Description |
A description of the work center is retrieved from the “Work Center” business component. |
Enter the following in the “Slot Details” multiline:
Slot # |
A unique identifier of the slot. (Alphanumeric, 20). Mandatory |
Slot Description |
A description of the slot (Alphanumeric, 150). Mandatory |
Slot Category |
Use the drop-down list box to select the slot category. The system displays the first available slot category as the default value. |
Total Avl.Man.Hrs |
The total man hours available for the slot (Alphanumeric, 6). Mandatory. Ensure that the value entered is a positive integer. |
Standard? |
Use the drop-down list box to select either “Yes” or “No” option to indicate whether the slot is standard or not. |
Enter the time in the format “hh:mm:ss” under the relevant week days. Example, you can enter 10:00:00 in the field “Monday” to indicate that the employee will work from 10.00 am on the week day, “Monday”. Likewise, you can enter the time under the required week days.
Enter the following in the “Slot Details” multiline:
Extendable? |
Use the drop-down list box to select either “Yes” or “No” option to indicate whether the timings are extendable or not. The system displays “Yes” as the default value. |
Max Elapsed Duration |
The maximum elapsed duration (Decimal) Mandatory. Ensure that the value entered is greater than zero. |
Time Unit |
Use the drop-down list box to select the time unit for the maximum elapsed duration. The valid options are “Hours” and “Days”. The system displays “Hours” as the default value. |
Planning Instructions |
The planning instructions pertaining to the slot (Alphanumeric, 255). |
Status |
Use the drop-down list box to select whether the slot is “Active” or “Inactive”. |
Remarks |
Any remarks pertaining to the slot (Alphanumeric, 255). |
The system retrieves the following details in the multiline after recording the slot attributes in the “Configure Slot Attributes” page:
Capability |
The capability may be “Aircraft”, “Part” or “Aircraft, Part”. |
Skill Availability |
The skills available for a slot. If a slot has multiple skills defined between the Effective From and Effective To dates, the skill will be displayed with a delimiter comma ( , ). |
Click the “Configure Slot Details” pushbutton to configure the slot details.
The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:
Created by |
The login user id of the planner who configured the maintenance execution slot details. |
Created Date & Time |
The date and time at which the planner configured the maintenance execution slot details. |
Last Modified by |
The login user id of the planner who last modified the configuration of the maintenance execution slot details. |
Last Modified Date & Time |
The date and time at which the planner last modified the configuration of the maintenance execution slot details. |
Select the check box against the required record in the multiline to define the slot attributes for the slots associated to a work center.
To proceed, carry out the following
Select the “Configure Slot Attributes” link at the bottom of the page to configure the slot attributes for the slots in a work center.
4 “Create Work Center” activity must have been completed.
