Selecting part warranty agreement for amending

This page allows you to search for a part warranty agreement for amending the details. Tell me more

Select the “Amend Part Warranty Agreement” link under the “Component Warranty” business component.

The “Select Part Warranty Agreement” page appears.

Enter the following field in the “Direct Entry” group box, if you know the part warranty agreement that must be amended.

Agreement #	The number identifying the part warranty agreement that must be amended (Alphanumeric, 18).
Amendment #	The number identifying the amendment made to the part warranty agreement (Integer).

Select the “Amend Agreement” link provided alongside, to amend the part warranty agreement details.

To search for a part warranty agreement

Enter the following fields in the “Search Criteria” group box, to search for a part warranty agreement. Data entry in the following fields is optional:

Agreement #	The number identifying the part warranty agreement that must be amended (Alphanumeric, 18). You can enter the agreement number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all agreement numbers that are similar to the number entered here.
Agreement Category	Use the drop-down list box to select the category of the part warranty agreement. The system lists all the 'active' agreement categories defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves the agreements of the category specified here.
Status	Use the drop-down list box to select the status of the part warranty agreement. The system lists the following options:
	Confirmed - Select this option to amend the part warranty agreement that is in "Confirmed" status.
	Pending Confirmation - Select this option to edit the part warranty agreement that is in " Pending Confirmation" status. This will not increment the amendment number.
	Under Amendment – Select this option to edit an agreement that was amended earlier, after it was confirmed.
	Leave the field blank to retrieve the agreements irrespective of their status.
User Status	Use the drop-down list box to select the user status of part warranty agreement. The system lists all the 'active' user statuses of part warranty agreement defined in the “Create Quick Codes” activity. The system retrieves all the agreements of the user statuses specified here.
Supplier #	The code identifying the supplier for which the part warranty agreement is created (Alphanumeric, 45). You can enter the supplier code in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the agreements with the supplier code entered here.
Supplier Name	The name of the supplier (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the supplier name in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the agreements that have the supplier name entered here.
Part #	The part number for which the warranty details are defined (Alphanumeric, 40). You can enter the part number in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the agreements with part numbers that are similar to the number entered here.
Part Description	The textual description of the part (Alphanumeric, 150). You can enter the description in full or specify it partially using the “*” character. The system retrieves all the agreements with part descriptions that are similar to the description entered here.

Click the “Search” pushbutton, to display the search results in the multiline.

The system displays the following in the “Search Results” multiline:

Agreement #	The number identifying the agreement defined in the system.
Amendment #	The amendment number of the agreement.
Agreement Category	The category to which the agreement belongs.
Status	The status of the part warranty agreement, which could be "Confirmed" or "Pending Confirmation".
User Status	The user status of the part warranty agreement.
Supplier #	The code identifying the supplier for which the agreement is created.
Supplier Name	The name of the supplier.
No Of Parts	The number of parts for which the warranty details are defined.

Selecting part warranty agreement for modification - An overview

If you know the agreement number and the amendment number (if any), you can directly enter it. Otherwise, you can carry out a search based on the agreement number, agreement category, status, user status, supplier number, supplier name, part number and part description. The system displays the part warranty agreement details that match the filter criteria in the multiline. You can select an agreement and amend the details.

Only part warranty agreements that are in the "Confirmed" or "Pending Confirmation" status, are retrieved by the system for amendment.
