Close Component Warranty Claim – A summary of the activity
This activity allows you to close a component warranty claim document. The warranty administrator closes the component warranty claim when the component is received in serviceable condition or the supplier reimburses the claim amount.
In certain cases, the supplier can send the component first and reimburse the claim amount later. You can update the details of the claim based on the supplier response and close the claim when the component or claim amount or both are received from the supplier.
Note: Only a claim in "Freezed" status can be closed in this activity.

Close component warranty claim
You can select the component warranty claim and close it. A warranty claim is usually closed when the supplier sends the component back after repair or reimburses the claim amount.
Go to "Select Warranty Claim" page to select the component warranty claim for closing.
Go to "Close Component Warranty Claim" page to close the component warranty claim.
Update and close warranty claim
The supplier can send the component first and reimburse the claim amount later. In such cases, you can update the claim details regularly till the component or claim amount is received. The claim is closed after the updating the claim details.
Go to "Select Warranty Claim" page to select the component warranty claim for updating and closing the claim.
Go to "Close Component Warranty Claim" page to update and close the component warranty claim.
