This page allows you to set options.

The “Set Options” page appears.

The system displays the following field:

Date Format

The format in which the date fields appears in this page. This format is displayed from the "User Preferences" business component based on the login user id. In case the format is not defined, the system displays the date format from the “Enterprise Modeling” business component by default.

Generate Non-Standard Tasks

Use the drop-down list box to specify whether you can generate non-standard task or not. Select,

  • Yes – to allow the system to generate non-standard tasks in maintenance execution documents

  • No – if non-standard tasks are not required for any of the maintenance execution documents.

The system sets the field to “No” by default.

Numbering Type for Non-Standard Tasks

Use the drop-down list to select the numbering type for non-standard tasks. The system lists all the numbering types defined for the “Non-Standard Tasks” transaction in the “Document Numbering Class” component, if the Generate Non-Standard Tasks is set to “Yes”.

However, the drop-down list box displays no values, if the Generate Non-Standard Tasks is set to “No”.  

Multiple Model Effectivity

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether a standard task, a non-standard task or a standard procedure can be applicable to multiple aircraft models. When you select,

  • “Allowed”, the system allows users to map multiple aircraft models for a task in the Edit Aircraft Model Effectivity page of Create Task, Edit Task and Maintain Activated Task activities.

  • “Not Allowed’ the system does not allow users to map multiple aircraft models for the selected task in the Edit Aircraft Model Effectivity page of Create Task, Edit Task and Maintain Activated Task activities.

Maint. Program Modification

Use the drop-own list box to indicate whether component/aircraft maintenance programs can be modified. From the drop-down list box, select,

  • “Allowed”, to enable modification of maintenance programs.

  • “Not Allowed”, to prevent modification of maintenance programs.

  • “With Revision”, to allow modification of maintenance programs with a new revision number.

Note that you must this option to “Allowed” or “With Revision”, to facilitate modification of maintenance programs in Aircraft Maintenance Program and Component Maintenance Program components.

Sequence Control Generation Mode

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether the generation of sequence control number must automatic or manual. Select,

  • Automatic, to enable the system to automatically generate the sequence control number on the basis of the default numbering type.

  • Manual, to enable users to specify the identification number for a sequence control.

Default Numbering Type

Use the drop-own list box to select the numbering type for the automatic generation of sequence control numbers in the “Manage Unified Task Sequence” activity. The drop-down list box displays all numbering types in Active status defined for the transaction "Maintain Task Seq #”. It is mandatory to specify the numbering type, if the sequence control generation mode is “Automatic”. Conversely, the drop-own list box displays no values, if the sequence control generation mode is set as “Manual”.

Re-Sequence Multiplication Factor

The multiplication factor for re-sequencing of sequence control numbers in the “Manage Unified Task Sequence” activity, Mandatory. The factor you specify here must be a positive integer.

The system displays the following in the “Resource Group for Repair Procedure” group box:

Execution Document

The execution document which can be “Shop Work Order”, “A/C Maint. Exe. Ref #”, “Central Discrepancy Processing”, or “Others”.

 Enter the following field in the “Resource Group for Repair Procedure” group box:

Mechanic

Use the drop-down list to indicate whether the mechanic is required to perform sign-off of sub-tasks created under non-standard tasks that are associated with the execution document. Select,

  • “Yes”, to display “Mechanic” as one of the options available in the Resource Group drop-down list box in the Author Repair Procedure page.

  • “No”, to remove “Mechanic” as one of the options in the Resource Group drop-down list box in the Author Repair Procedure page

The field is blank by default.

Inspector

Use the drop-down list to indicate whether the inspector is required to perform sign-off of sub-tasks under non-standard tasks that are associated with the execution document. Select,

  • “Yes”, to display “Inspector” as one of the options available in the Resource Group drop-down list box in the Author Repair Procedure page.

  • “No”, to remove "Inspector” as one of the options in the Resource Group drop-down list box in the Author Repair Procedure page

The field is blank by default.

Mechanic & Inspector

Use the drop-down list to indicate whether both mechanic and inspector are required to perform sign-off of sub-tasks under non-standard tasks that are associated with the execution document. Select,

  • “Yes”, to display “Mechanic & Inspector” as one of the options available in the Resource Group drop-down list box in the Author Repair Procedure page.

  • “No”, to remove “Mechanic & Inspector” as one of the options in the Resource Group drop-down list box in the Author Repair Procedure page

The field is blank by default.

Sign-off Not Required

Use the drop-down list box to indicate whether sign-off of sub-tasks under non-standard tasks that are associated with the execution document may not be required for the execution document. Select,

  • “Yes”, to display “Sign-off Not Required” as one of the options available in the Resource Group drop-down list box in the Author Repair Procedure page.

  • “No”, to remove "Sign-Off Not Required” as one of the options in the Resource Group drop-down list box in the Author Repair Procedure page This implies that sign-off is mandatory for the execution document.

The field is blank by default.

Note: Ensure that a value exists in all the execution documents, if the "Generate Non-Standard Task" is set as "Yes". Ensure blank in the execution document, if the "Generate Non-Standard Task" is set as "No".

The system displays the following in the “Record Statistics” group box:

Last Modified By

The name of the user who last modified the settings.

Last Modified Date

The date on which the setting was last modified.
